Xialu Town is located at 120°31′ east and 30°08′ north latitude. It is a town in the southwest of Keqiao District, Shaoxing City, Zhejiang Province. It is 35 kilometers away from Hangzhou city, 32 kilometers away from Shaoxing city, and 12 kilometers away from Keqiao city. The total area of the town is 51.03 square kilometers, of which the mountain forest area accounts for 74.06% and the cultivated land area accounts for 10.97%. It is a typical low mountain, hilly and valley area. The territory is long and narrow, with the terrain high in the south and low in the north.
