Taizhou Municipal Government
The Taizhou area is located in the east of Zhejiang. In ancient times, it was the blind land of Yangzhou. Huipu was established in the Western Han Dynasty. Linhai County was established in the Three Kingdoms. Taizhou and Linhai were established in 625 AD. In 1949, after the founding of New China, the Taizhou Area Administrative Office was stationed in Linhai. County, later changed to Linhai City. On August 22, 1994, with the approval of the State Council, Taizhou vacated land to build a city, changed Jiaojiang City, Huangyan City and Luqiao Town of Huangyan to establish Jiaojiang District and Huangyan District; Luqiao District, the regional administrative office was Linhai moved to Jiaojiang, ending the administrative center that had been in Linhai for more than 1,500 years. On January 5, 1995, the first batch of Taizhou municipal agencies moved south from Linhai to Jiaojiang. Linhai is a national historical and cultural city. Taizhou’s history lies in Linhai, and Taizhou’s future lies in Linhai
