In order to prevent and mitigate meteorological disasters, protect people's lives and the safety of the state, collectives and individuals' property, according to the Meteorological Law of People's Republic of China (PRC) and the Regulations on Meteorological Management of Anhui Province, combined with the actual situation of our province, the Anhui Meteorological Bureau and the Anhui Provincial Bureau of Radio, Film and Television jointly studied and formulated the Provisions on the Release of Meteorological Disaster Early Warning Signals in Anhui Province, which are hereby promulgated. All units shall, in accordance with the prescribed requirements, cooperate with each other and do a good job in the release of meteorological disaster warning signals.
First, the early warning signal of meteorological disasters in Anhui Province is the unified signal of our province's defense against meteorological disasters, and the early warning signals of meteorological disasters in various places must obey these provisions.
Two, Anhui meteorological disaster warning signal issued by the meteorological offices and stations affiliated to the competent meteorological departments at or above the county level, any organization or individual shall not be released to the public in any way. The release standards, grades and categories of meteorological disaster warning signals shall be implemented in accordance with the Guidelines for the Release and Defense of Meteorological Disaster Warning Signals in Anhui Province (annex 1).
3. The early warning signals issued by our province are tentatively classified into seven categories, such as typhoon, rainstorm, high temperature, cold wave, low temperature and cold, thunderstorm and gale, which are generally divided into four levels (IV, III, II and I). According to the severity and urgency of the disaster, the colors are blue, yellow, orange and red in turn, and they are marked in Chinese and English, representing ordinary, heavy, serious and super-serious respectively. The early warning signals issued by meteorological stations at all levels in the province must adopt a unified graphic library. When multiple meteorological disasters occur or forecast at the same time, multiple early warning signals should be issued at the same time according to the corresponding standards.
