What art schools are there in Jilin Province?
Jilin Art College, referred to as "Jiyi" for short, is located in Changchun City, Jilin Province, which is the "Spring City in the North" and is one of the six major art colleges in China. It is the only comprehensive art college in Northeast China, an application-oriented public university with high-level university construction projects in Jilin Province, a Sino-Russian university art exchange base of the Ministry of Education, a national excellent traditional cultural heritage base of ordinary universities of the Ministry of Education, an advanced unit of social practice for college students nationwide, and a national professional construction university.
Jiyi was formerly known as 1946 Music Department of Lu Xun College of Literature and Art of Northeastern University, and 1958 established Jilin Art College. 1978 was renamed Jilin art institute, and 1993 was awarded the master's degree. 1995 became the first batch of provincial key discipline colleges in Jilin Province, Jilin City Cultural Cadre School and Jilin City.
Jilin Animation Institute (JAI), referred to as "Jidong" for short, was founded in June 2000 and approved by the Ministry of Education as a private undergraduate college in 2008. The school is an art college with animation tourism as the main body. It is the first institution of higher learning in China to train animation game talents, the largest national animation teaching and research institution in Asia and the largest animation college in the world. It is called "China".
