Introduction to internationally renowned piano competitions

1. International Chopin Piano Competition This is a piano competition held in memory of Chopin. It started in 1927 and is held every five years in Warsaw, the capital of Poland. The competition repertoire is mainly composed of works by Chopin. After the third session, it was interrupted due to the war and resumed in 1947. Since 1955, it has been held every five years. Chinese pianists Fu Cong and Li Mingqiang won third place in the 5th competition in 1955 and fourth place in the 6th competition in 1960 respectively. Liu Yifan won the 10th Special Award in 1980.
