The village has well-preserved carved beds, imperial longevity plaques, wooden boxes "Yongzheng Zhupi Edict", stone mills "Jiaqing 22nd Year" and other utensils. There are also a large number of tombs from the Ming and Qing Dynasties preserved around the residences. (Fourth Batch)
According to the "Yu Family Genealogy", Dayuwan architecture is a typical Wuyuan residential style. In the second year of Hongwu in the Ming Dynasty (1369), a large family named Yu moved here from Wuyuan and Dexing in Jiangxi. The ancestors of Dayu Bay recognized the ancient piano master Yu Boya as the ancestor of the Yu surname, and it was said that Yue Fei's lineage once lived here in seclusion. Therefore, there is a saying that "the ancestor of Yu Boya was born, and Yue Pengju Houkun escaped to the hermit village". In the history of family development, there was the glory of "one family, three prefects, and five generations and four ministers" in the Song Dynasty. During the Ming and Qing Dynasties, more than 100 scholars and scholars were born in the village, and in modern times there are more than 100 celebrities.
The overall layout of Dayu Bay is unique, with 75 ancient buildings from the Ming and Qing Dynasties scattered throughout. Most of the ancient houses have thousands of hand-painted colorful murals from the Qing Dynasty left on the outer walls. Standing on the Jiuzhai Mountain behind the village and having a bird's eye view of the whole village, the Feng Shui pattern of "a blue dragon swimming on the left, a white tiger guarding on the right, two turtles facing the Big Dipper in front, a money hanging gourd behind, and a Tai Chi diagram in the middle" is clearly visible. In terms of form and layout, materials and technology, it reflects an extremely complete concept of housing: "The wall in front is surrounded by water, and the mountain is surrounded by wall in the back. The large courtyard is surrounded by small courtyards, and the small courtyards are surrounded by each house. There are about a hundred households in the village, interspersed with twenty lanes Every house is connected to each other, with square stone pavements and dripping stone walls. There are many carvings in the door, and there are painted eaves and corridors in front of the door. ”
