Why did Tang Zonghai only live in his fifties?

Tang Zonghai (1846— 1897) was born in Sanjie Town, Pengzhou. One of the founders of "School of Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine" advocates learning from each other's strengths, and "being good at the ancient times without being superstitious about the ancients, being knowledgeable and learning from each other's strengths". Theory of Blood Syndrome and Classic Essence of Chinese and Western Medicine are his main representative works.

In the 22nd year of Guangxu (1896), Tang Zonghai was ordered to go to Guangxi as a magistrate, and Liu Guangdi, one of the "Six Gentlemen of the Reform Movement of 1898", sent poems to see him off. Tang Zonghai took his mother to work in Binxian County via Hubei and Hunan, but when he arrived in Wuhan, his mother died unfortunately.

The next year, he helped his mother's coffin return to Sichuan. After passing through eastern Sichuan, I was infected with epidemic disease and went home with a coffin. His illness is getting worse and worse, and he can't even speak. About ten days later, he died at the age of 5 1. Buried in Yuanjiaba, Shuangliu County.
