How to resolve nightmares
Everyone dreams. There are sweet dreams, and of course there are nightmares. Having a nightmare is not only a psychological fright, but also a sign that something bad will happen. So is there a way to resolve nightmares? The answer is yes!
Feng Shui method:
Close the bedroom window, place a porcelain zodiac sign (your own zodiac sign) on the windowsill, and clean up the debris outside the window. Wrap a jade zodiac sign (your own zodiac sign) in yellow cloth and place it under the sleeping pillow.
Taoist method:
Put a sip of water in your mouth, spit it towards the east, and then say: The sun rises in the east and shines brightly. My unknown dream turns into golden light. I pray for the help of the Supreme Lord. Urgent as a rule!
Folk method:
When you encounter a very scary situation in a dream, immediately close your eyes and lie down (during a dream, of course), and the dream will end. . For example: If you dream of being chased and unable to escape, don’t be afraid. Just close your eyes immediately, lie on the ground, and think about nothing. This way the dream will end within a few seconds. You may wish to try it, of course, you must remember this method in advance, because you must ensure that you remember this method in your dream. Or if you don’t want to continue “surviving” in the dream and want to wake up, you can hit your head against hard things in real life in the dream, such as hitting buildings, walls, or floors, etc. Although in the dream These things are soft when you hit them, but if you hold on and bang your head in hard, you'll wake up.
As soon as you wake up, blow three breaths onto the pillow, touch the pillow three times, then turn the pillow over and fall asleep immediately. Get up early the next day (the sun has just risen), face the west wall (the sun just shines): chant a mantra in your mouth: Night dreams are ominous, draw on the west wall, the sun comes out, keep me lucky, and draw circles on the wall at the same time, Say it seven times in a row and the nightmare will be solved. Remember not to tell others about your dreams.
Whether it is at night or in a dream, if you hear someone calling your name, do not answer. But first observe clearly before speaking.
Psychological methods:
There are some complex "complexes" in a person's subconscious, which are mainly caused by his experiences in childhood. These complexes are the hidden "causes," and our current suffering is the "effect." The assumption of psychotherapy is that as long as the cause is found, the effect of the effect can be eliminated. Even if this assumption is correct, it does not guarantee that we will be able to find the "real cause", because the human life process itself is not a mechanical patchwork, but an organic operation and integration.
If the subconscious mind is regarded as deep consciousness, then the deeper you dig, the more you will get about personal special encounters and the special impact these encounters have on the individual. For example, if people only consider their own situation, they will easily feel self-pity, but self-pity will not disappear as it deepens. If you want to lessen your self-pity, it's best to look around you and see the countless unfortunate people in the world. Spirituality works in a similar way. Spirituality is not like the body, which is incompatible with each other, nor is it like the mind, which is only compatible to a certain extent; it can transcend the body, break through the mind, and integrate with all spirits. This is the level of the person's "super-ego" or "trans-individual". In other words, spiritual cultivation makes a person no longer care about the complexes he has left in his subconscious since childhood, and is no longer limited by the clearly distinguished relationship between people and self in his consciousness. Instead, it can help him walk towards a simple and unified "person" In this field, just looking at people, they give birth to the feeling of being brothers and sisters and being one body.
Scientific method:
Reduce bad stimulation. You should usually watch more videos or novels that are healthy, relaxing and enjoyable, and watch less or try not to watch movies or novels that can easily lead to nightmare scenarios to avoid storing bad stimuli in your memory. It is best not to use your brain excessively before going to sleep to avoid excessive excitement of the cerebral cortex and causing dreams.
Pay attention to your sleeping body posture. It is generally better to sleep on the right side. When sleeping on your back, keep your hands and feet naturally vertical, and the pillow should not be too high. Correct the bad habit of sleeping on your stomach.
Prevent physiological diseases. Many experiments have shown that physiological and pathological stimuli in the human body may be incorporated into dreams.
There are some mild inflammations in the human body that are often not felt when one is conscious, and slight stimulation caused by inflammation may lead to nightmares during sleep. For example, if someone has his throat pinched in a dream, he later turns out to have pharyngitis.
Analysis of why children have nightmares
Nightmare attacks occur in the rapid eye movement phase, so they can often clearly recall their dreams at night. Children between 10 and 50 years old often have nightmare attacks when they are 3 to 5 years old. About 75% of patients can remember one or more nightmare episodes that occurred in childhood, and 50% of adults admit to having nightmare episodes at least occasionally.
The incidence of recurrent nightmare attacks (one or more times a week) accounts for 10% of the adult population.
This disease can occur at any age, but is more common in children aged 3 to 6 years old. The male to female ratio is equal in childhood;
The main clinical manifestation of this disease is that children wake up due to nightmares during rapid eye movement sleep. It is often a long, complicated dream that becomes more terrifying as it gets closer to the end. Motor behavior is usually absent and anxiety, speech, and autonomic nervous system symptoms are less frequent.
After the attack, the content of the dream is often described clearly. After the child is fully awake, he is afraid to go back to bed by himself because of fear. He often has to have his parents around or make a promise before he dares to sleep again. The disease is often accompanied by talking, but rarely by screaming, hitting objects, or walking.
Characteristics of polysomnography and electroencephalography: patients suddenly wake up from REM sleep during an attack. This REM sleep episode usually lasts at least 10 minutes and is accompanied by increased REM density, often with constant changes in heart rate and breathing rhythm, but without the sudden doubling of pulse and breathing rhythm found in night terrors.
Nightmare attacks sometimes occur during the REM period of sleep during a long journey. In addition, post-traumatic nightmare episodes can occasionally occur during NREM, especially stage 2 sleep.
The diagnosis of this disease is mainly based on clinical characteristics and ictal polysomnography EEG studies. It needs to be distinguished from sleep disorders such as night terrors, which occur in the NREM stage and can be identified by polysomnography.
Clinically, it is sometimes necessary to identify epileptic seizures during sleep, and electroencephalogram monitoring during the seizure can identify them.
This disease generally does not require special treatment.
