Epitaph of cousin Teng Fu of Sichuan Fushun Fan Zhongyan? Experts say ...
↑ Collectors suspected to find the epitaph of "Tengfu"
Who is Teng Fu? Luo Feiyue said in an interview with Red Star News reporter that he found out through online inquiry that Teng Fu, also known as Teng Yuanfa, is the nephew of Fan Zhongyan's father Fan Yong, which is also Fan Zhongyan's cousin. This person explored flowers twice in the imperial examination and served as Yinfu in Kaifeng for three times.
"It's all based on what can be understood on the epitaph, combined with the information found online." Luo Feiyue admits that he does not confirm the true identity of the owner of this epitaph, so he hopes to get the guidance and decryption of relevant industry experts through media reports.
Narrator: Exquisite words are engraved on the washboard of the farmhouse.
Luo Feiyue, a native of Fushun County, is a veteran collector who opened an antique shop called "Yanyun Zhai Zhu" in the local area.
Luo Feiyue recalled that about 10 years ago, he found a big slate in the dam of a farmer on the other side of the Tuojiang River (now under the jurisdiction of Donghu Town, Fushun County) and used it as a washboard. Looking carefully, he was very excited to see that there were many words engraved on the slate, and they were all beautiful.

After negotiating the price with the farmers, Luo Feiyue had the slate carried home. "At that time, I didn't even think about studying the slate. I just thought the calligraphy on it was very beautiful." Luo Feiyue said that the slate is made of local yellow gypsum stone, which is about120cm long, 60cm wide,15cm thick and weighs a thousand kilograms. I kept it in my friend's warehouse for ten years because there was no place to store it.
Guess: Is the owner of the stone tablet Fan Zhongyan's cousin Teng Fu?
At the end of 20 18, a friend's warehouse was cleaned, and Luo Feiyue asked someone to move the slate to the store. To show his gratitude, he gave his friend a Yuhuan as a safekeeping fee.
By chance, one day, Luo Feiyue wiped off the dust on the slate and sprayed water, and began to study the words on it slowly. It is difficult to determine except that the big characters on it are seal script, and the front and back are small characters and running script respectively, which is relatively easy to identify.
Luo Feiyue said that after some research, he analyzed that this engraved stone tablet was the epitaph of the tomb buried by Teng Gongfu and his wife Li in the Song Dynasty.
↑ The inscription reads "Buried in Fushun"
In view of the information mentioned in the epitaph, such as "Zongshen", "Dongpo" and "Doctor Guanglu", Luo Feiyue combined these information to search for information on the Internet. He boldly speculated that "Teng Gong was afraid of being a famous minister in the Northern Song Dynasty".
The inscription records the information of Dongpo.
↑ The inscription reads "Dr. Guanglu"
Who is Fan Zhongyan's cousin Teng Fu? Luo Feiyue said that according to the information found on the Internet, Teng Yuan-fa was born in Dongyang, Zhejiang Province (now Teng (Chen) Zhai Street, Wuning Street, Dongyang City), and was the nephew of Fan Zhongyan's father Fan Yong, which is also Fan Zhongyan's cousin. Teng Fu was literate since childhood, and studied under Fan Zhongyan's second son, Fan Chunren. He explored flowers twice in imperial examinations and served as Yinfu in Kaifeng for three times. Guarding the border and marching into the northwest, he is known as a handsome man. The exploration of flowers by two universities is unique in the history of China 1300 Imperial Examination.
According to Song History, Teng Fu was able to write poems at the age of nine, and Fan Zhongyan's father was his uncle, which surprised Zhong You. He entered Fu Xue, Suzhou, was promoted to Jinshi, and took the third place in the imperial court. The rhyme was not in the alto range. Stop, lift again and get the third place. Awarded to judge Dali and judge Huzhou. "
"If it's really Teng Fu, it's big news." Luo Feiyue said that there is information on the Internet that Tengfu Tomb may be located in Nanning, Guangxi. Then, why does Fushun still have an epitaph, and it clearly says "buried in Fushun"?
No matter who owns the epitaph, it has research value.
Su Tiesheng, 82, is the editor-in-chief of Fushun County Chronicle 1993. He was very interested after learning the news of this epitaph.
In an interview with the reporter of Red Star News, the old Suman Tiesheng said that when the feudal society changed dynasties, wars often happened every year. There were few historical records about Fushun in the Song and Yuan Dynasties, and few words could be found, so that the Records of Fushun County, which he led to compile, only found one sentence in the historical documents such as Twenty-four History: Li, a Confucian scholar in Fushun, was in the second year of Qing Dynasty (1042).
Regarding the relationship between Tengfu and Fushun, Su Tiesheng consulted all relevant historical documents and materials, but found no relevant materials.
However, regarding the words on the epitaph, the old Suman Tiesheng mentioned a problem: the recorded "buried together with Fushun" is true, but the monument was built in Xuanhe, Song Huizong for six years, which is inconsistent with the historical record "Teng Yuanfa died in 1090", about 30 years late; Secondly, Teng Yuanfa was originally from Dongyang, Zhejiang Province, where there was an ancestral hall set up by Teng's descendants, and some data showed that the cemetery was located in Guangxi and had nothing to do with Fushun.
"Whether it is the Teng Fu couple or not, it has historical research value." Su Tiesheng believes that if it is confirmed as the epitaph of the grave buried by Teng and his wife, it will be an important discovery and can fill the "historical gap". If it is not Mr. and Mrs. Teng Fu, it is also valuable to read the relevant contents of the epitaph and understand some brief information of that period.
Solution: Expect experts to decrypt it.
Because of his age, Su Tiesheng could not study the epitaph carefully. He believes that in order to determine the identity of the owner of the epitaph and decipher the historical accidents recorded in the epitaph, it is necessary for relevant industry experts to join in, rubbingly interpret the epitaph and uncover the mystery as soon as possible. Luo Feiyue also expressed the hope that relevant experts would come to decrypt it. Regarding the disposal of this epitaph, he expressed his willingness to donate.
Deng Shaowen, secretary general of Zigong Collectors Association, said that the epitaph is true, neither imitation nor forgery, and the content and owner of the epitaph have yet to be verified. At the same time, he also suggested that the epitaph is not suitable for personal collection, and after determining the owner's identity, it should be handed over to the relevant departments for proper disposal.
Expert: The preliminary judgment is not "Teng Fu couple"
On March 13, Su Pinxiao, a professor at the School of History and Culture of Sichuan University and vice president of China Song History Research Association, made a preliminary judgment on this epitaph through electronic pictures. He believes that the owners are not "Teng Fu couple", but "Teng Shilu" and his wife "Li".
Professor Su Pinxiao introduced that because there is no rubbings, it is impossible to completely identify the full text of the epitaph. First of all, we can determine the seal characters on the upper and lower sides of the epitaph. On the one hand, it says "there is an inscription by Teng Gong, the tea supervisor of Song Qiongzhou" and on the other hand, it says "there is an inscription by Li Zaichang". Secondly, the content of the epitaph shows that Teng Shilu was from the Southern Song Dynasty and Teng Fu was his ancestor. Thirdly, the author of the epitaph is Chao, the hometown of Central Plains literature in Song Dynasty, and some names mentioned in the epitaph are tracing back to history.
Write seal reads "Song Qiongzhou Tea Supervisor Teng Gong inscription"
Su Pinxiao said that after further collection of inscriptions, the owner identity and related value of epitaphs can be further studied and confirmed.
