Female breast pain: six symptoms
Puberty breast pain
For girls aged 9- 13, the pain will disappear naturally after menarche.
Premenstrual breast pain
Many women will feel breast fullness, stiffness and tenderness before menstruation. This is caused by the increase of estrogen level in the body, hyperplasia of mammary glands and edema of tissue between breasts. These symptoms will disappear after menstruation.
Breast pain during pregnancy
About 40 days after pregnancy, due to hormonal changes, the mammary glands are enlarged, leading to breast swelling and pain, but no treatment is needed throughout pregnancy.
Postpartum breast pain
From 3 days to 7 days after delivery, the breasts are full, induration and pain. This is due to lymphatic retention, venous filling, interstitial edema and poor mammary duct.
Breast pain after induced abortion
Pregnancy is suddenly interrupted, hormone levels plummet, and breasts suddenly stop growing, causing breast lumps and breast pain.
Breast pain after sexual life
This is related to the physiological changes of breasts during sexual life. Those with indifferent sexual desire or disharmony in sexual life are prone to breast pain.
