Is Sima Qian’s Historical Records a fake or a real book, or is it true or false?

Some are true and some are false. Many of the materials used when writing historical records are historical books circulated in various countries during the Spring and Autumn and Warring States periods. These are fairly reliable. As for Chen Sheng and Wu Guang who have no reference to historical books, they are basically based on what was circulated among the scholar-bureaucrats at that time. It is based on mainstream stories, and for earlier stories such as the Yellow Emperor's era, we can only use folklore.
