What works did Li have in Tang Dynasty?
Linde calendar. Li compiled a new calendar in the second year of Linde (665) based on his years of research and long-term observation on astronomical calendars. On the recommendation of Nangong, Taishiyi and Kong Ji, Tang Gaozong sent a letter named "Lindley".
History of the Five Dynasties. During the Zhenguan period of the Tang Dynasty, after the compilation of historical books of Liang, Chen, Beiqi, Zhou and Sui dynasties, there was no "chronicle". In the fifteenth year of Zhenguan, Yu Zhining and Li were ordered to compile Records of the Five Dynasties, which lasted fifteen years and was completed in the first year of Qing Dynasty (656).
Yi Sizhan (10) is an important book of astrology by Li. The preface of the first volume of Yi Sizhan was written by Li, which explained his intention to write this book and his compiling thought.
