Joo Won is the birthplace of Zhou people and the old capital of the Western Zhou Dynasty. It is one of the important birthplaces of the Chinese nation, located in some areas of Qishan County, Fufeng County and Meixian County, Baoji City, Shaanxi Province. It is the place where Gu, the ancestor of Zhou clan, led many people to move out of this land. At the end of 1970s, many important discoveries were made in archaeology in Joo Won . Joo Won is known as the "hometown of bronzes", and national treasures such as Mao, Ding and siding have been unearthed. Unearthed bronzes have a long history and a large number, which are only seen in the world. Since Emperor Xuan Di Liu Xun was knighted for three years (58 BC), bronzes have been unearthed here and many important discoveries have been made. Joo Won site is one of the top ten archaeological discoveries in China.
