At that time, the circumference of the large iron pot used for boiling alkali was 3.45 meters, and the products were exported to Henan, Shandong and the Russian Far East. Dabusu is also famous for its "earth salt". The prosperity of saline-alkali industry has promoted the development of ceramic industry, and there are more than 30 pottery kiln sites around Dabusu Lake. With the development of modern civilization, saline-alkali industry has declined, but it is still one of the production bases for developing commodity economy in Gan 'an County. 1976, Dabusu Chemical Plant was established in Hubei Bank with state investment, with an annual output of 3,000 tons of soda ash.
