Is it better to use diesel or gasoline for 5kw generators?
Generally speaking, diesel generators are mostly used in large public places or construction sites, with great power utility, but relatively speaking, they are noisy, fuel-efficient and public-economical. The gasoline generator is not so powerful, low noise and easy to carry, but it consumes a lot of oil.
Another point is to consider the location. Diesel generators have higher requirements for weather. For example, it may be difficult to start winter in the north.
Then compared with 5kw diesel generator and 10kw diesel generator, it is only the difference in horsepower. The fuel consumption calculation formula is as follows: fuel consumption (L)= power consumption (kW h)/9.26/engine efficiency n 1/ generator efficiency n2.
These two efficiencies are variables, especially the efficiency of oil engine, which changes obviously with the load rate. Generally, the efficiency is the highest when the load rate is about 80%, generally 30% ~ 50%, and the generator is 85% ~ 90%.
