16 World Women's Volleyball Championship

According to the ranking before FIVB in 20 14 10/2, Italy was ranked as the host 1, and the rest were drawn into the group according to the world ranking order, so the following groups were obtained:

A: Italy, Dominica, Germany, Argentina, Croatia and Tunisia.

Brazil, Serbia, Turkey, Canada, Cameroon and Bulgaria.

USA, Russia, Thailand, Netherlands, Kazakhstan, Mexico.

D: Japan, China, Puerto Rico, Cuba, Belgium and Azerbaijan.

Competition system:

The first stage: 24 teams are divided into four groups, and the top four in each group advance to the second stage.

The promotion team includes:

A: Italy, Dominica, Germany and Croatia.

Brazil, Serbia, Turkey and Bulgaria.

C: USA, Russia, Netherlands and Kazakhstan.

D: Japanese, China, Belgians, Azerbaijanis.

The second stage: the top four players in Group A and Group D are in Group E, while the top four players in Group B and Group C are in Group F, and they compete with opponents who have never played in the first stage. The results of the competition are ranked together with the results brought by the first stage, and the top three in the group advance to the third stage.

The third stage: Group E and Group F, divided into two groups at first, and the second and third groups were drawn by lots for a single cycle. After the end of the cycle, the third place in the two groups played the fifth final, and the top two in the two groups crossed into the semi-finals. The loser of the semi-final will enter the third final, and the winner of the semi-final will enter the championship and runner-up final.

The final will be held in Milan on June 10.
