The Historical Evolution of Guxian Town

Guxian Town has a long history. According to historical records, it has a history of more than 2000 years, and several counties have been established. It is the former site of Tongbai County.

According to Tongbai County Records, during the Three Kingdoms Period (AD 220-225), yiyang county was in Yiyang Township, and Yiyang was in Guxian Town. Yiyang County was established late, governing five counties, including Shi Ping and Yiyang, and was soon abandoned.

During the reign of Jin Taikang (AD 280-289), Yiyang County was re-established to take charge of Shi Ping and Yiyang counties 12.

Yiyang County was abandoned as Huai 'an County in the Southern Liang Dynasty (502-549 AD), and Huai 'an County was changed to Tongbai County in the eighteenth year of Emperor Kai of Sui Dynasty (598 AD), and it is still in today's solid county. After nearly 400 years to the sixth year of Song Kaibao (AD 973), Tongbai County moved to the present county seat. Called "old county", it gradually evolved into "Gu county". It is still in use today. A military camp was built here in the Qing Dynasty.
