Shanwei weather

Mazu, a strange girl who was awarded the Goddess of World Peace by the United Nations, is also a traditional folk belief circulating in the coastal areas of China. Mazu culture originated in Song Dynasty, became famous in Yuan Dynasty, flourished in Ming Dynasty, flourished in Qing Dynasty and flourished in modern times. It embodies a feature of China's marine culture and influences more than 300 million Mazu believers around the world.

Shanwei is a famous coastal city in China. Since the Song Dynasty, there has been a tradition of believing in Mazu. One of the eight scenic spots in Shanwei is Fenglaiyi with Mazu as the theme, and Mazu Tempel was built in Chongzhen of the Ming Dynasty for nine years (1636), with a history of nearly 400 years, and incense has been flourishing.

Mazu Tempel is located in Fengshan, the largest lagoon in China-Pinqing Lake, which is one of the main attractions of Shanwei Gold Coast. Although Fengshan is not high, it is named because it looks like a phoenix spreading its wings. Ascending to the south China sea, water and sky are the same, and the boat is like a shuttle. Take a closer look at the new look of the ancient town. There are many tall buildings and trees, which is refreshing.

Fengshan Scenic Area is mainly composed of Fengshan Park, Fengshan Temple and Mazu Stone Statue in Fengyitai. Among them, Mazu Tempel was built in Chongzhen in the Ming Dynasty for nine years, but it was not on such a large scale at first. Since the 1980s, the society and overseas Chinese have donated money for large-scale expansion, and newly built Tianhou Pavilion, Bell and Drum Tower and Mazu Stone Statue, as well as Mazu Museum in Fengshan Park, Hailufeng Drama Facebook Garden, Fisherman's Style Museum and Mazu Cultural Square.

According to a fellow traveler named Apollo in Shanwei, the reason why Shanwei built this Mazu Tempel is because Mazu has the reputation of "Poseidon" and "escort goddess". Before going out to sea, local fishermen should offer sacrifices to Mazu before the ship sails, pray for a safe journey and set up a shrine for Mazu on board. It can be said that "where there is sea water, there are people from China, and where there are people from China, there is Mazu" and "there is a Mazu in the world who believes in Mazu family".

Luo Abo told us that Mazu, formerly known as Maureen, was born on March 23rd in the first year of the Stegosaurus in the Northern Song Dynasty and died on September 9th in Yongxi, Song Taizong. He never cries at the full moon, so his parents named him "Mo", so people also called her "Mo Niang".

It is said that Lin Moniang was particularly clever since she was a child. I started studying at the age of 8. I read it and understood the meaning of the text. /kloc-at the age of 0/0, she began to recite scriptures with her mother Wang Nian. 15 years old, can cure diseases and help the poor. /kloc-when she was 0/6 years old, she put on makeup on Inoue and got a pair of bronze symbols, which made her more powerful. Born in a coastal patrol home, she is familiar with water, can sail and pull cables, cruise between islands, and often rescue ships in distress in storms. She can also observe the sky and predict the weather, which laid the foundation for her to eventually become a protector of the ocean.

Mazu Tempel was built 400 years ago, but Mazu statue was built in 1994. It was designed by Professor Li Weisi, a modern sculptor in China, and carved by a famous stonemason in Hui 'an, Fujian. The statue is16.83m high and weighs about1000t. It is composed of 468 high-quality granite stones from Mazu's hometown of Fujian, and it is the largest statue of Mazu in the world.

Coincidentally, since the stone statue was built more than 20 years ago, it has been in good weather, and the typhoon has never hit Shanwei head-on. Many citizens think that this is Mazu's epiphany. At the same time, everyone thinks that this statue is a masterpiece of modern China stone carving art. It looks solemn, but it is full of vigor and vitality, and it is full of praise for its beauty and charm.
