Ways to change nouns into adjectives
Adding-y after 1. nouns can become adjectives (especially some weather-related nouns). For example: rain-rain, cloud-cloudy, wind-windy, snow-snow, health-health, luck-luck, and so on.
2. Some abstract nouns can become adjectives by adding ful at the end. For example: care-care, thank-thank, help-help, use—-useful, beauty—-beautiful, etc.
3. Some nouns indicating a country can be added with —ese, —ish or —n at the end to form adjectives indicating nationality and language. For example: China-China, Japan-Japan, Britain-British, America-American, India-Indian, Australia-Australian (note Canada-Canadian).
4. After the noun, add-our to become an adjective. For example: danger-danger, etc.
5. Add —ly after the noun to become an adjective. For example: friends-friendliness, love-loveliness, etc.
6. Adding —less after a noun constitutes an adjective with negative meaning. For example: care-carelessness, use-uselessness, hope-hopelessness, home-homelessness, etc.
7. For some nouns ending in-ence, change "ence" into "ent" and become adjectives. For example: different-different, silence-silence, etc.
