Advantages of mountains
There are few disasters in Tibet, and there are not as many disasters in the mainland as in the coastal areas. Fishing in coastal areas, accidentally fell into the sea, can not find bones. Where there are mountains on the mainland, there is no such concern. So there must be mountains, and mountains are very important. There used to be a prison, a floating prison, which was used to take people aboard. Master Hanshan is in the dungeon, and it's hard for people to leave the ground. Because there are no mountains.
Why are people in China called China? Because China has Kunlun Mountain, which is the center of earth civilization, China people have Kunlun Mountain and Qinghai-Tibet Plateau as backers, and China people feel safe. Then the Japanese are different. Japan has no backer. So it's bitter and insecure.
So we have to thank these mountains, and there are mountain gods to support us. Bonism and Buddhism in Tibet worship mountains very much. The mountains are also blessing them. So there are fewer disasters in Tibet. The farther away from the coast, the less safe it is. The buildings were shaking when the typhoon came.
No matter how powerful humans are, they can't build mountains. So we should have awe of the mountains. Whenever I go to any mountain, I recite scriptures to the mountain god, the aura of the mountain and the god who manages the mountain.
There are also mountain gods in the mountains of China. For example, in Taoism, Mount China is divided among the immortals. Everyone manages a mountain. Like Tiantai Mountain, it is managed by Wang Ziqiao, a fairy of Tongbai. The Ming masters of the Tang Dynasty came to Tiantai Mountain, where they borrowed the immortal Tongbai. He later built a small country temple and a small country temple, which became a fire. Later, it was pointed out that the fairy of Tongbai should be provided first, and Tiantai Mountain was managed by the fairy of Tongbai. So the builder built the Tongbai Fairy Hall first, and then there was no fire. Everyone is going to kokuseiji now. The immortal enshrined in the Galapagos Temple is the Tongbai immortal.
Therefore, there is still a difference between mountain gods and land gods. Many mountain gods are immortals. For example, Zhiti Mountain in Fujian is the Dojo of Tianguan Buddha. The mountain god in it is Huo Tongxian, and Huo Tong is an ancient name. When he becomes immortal, he will be in charge of this mountain.
So we should respect the mountain gods, who are very powerful. Including Mount Qomolangma, some people can climb it because he is respectful to the mountain god of Mount Qomolangma, and some people are arrogant and just want to conquer the mountain, resulting in many snowstorms. Invisible power, human beings should have awe.
People have to rely on mountains to survive, and they cannot do without mountains. Therefore, we should support and respect mountain gods. A place without mountain protection is terrible.
Almost all the eight major sects in China developed well in Xi 'an, which was then the capital of the Tang Dynasty. But in the end there are Zen Buddhism and Tiantai Sect. Why? Other sects have not found a mountain to hide like Tiantai Sect and Zen Sect. Zen went to the south and Tiantai Sect went to Tiantai Mountain. The cool chengguan Buddha of Huayan Sect ran to Wutai Mountain, which also retained the pattern of Huayan Sect. Other sects can hardly survive without the protection of deep mountains.
We don't know enough about the contribution of mountains to us, especially for a long time. There are famous mountains in the world, famous and unknown. When you go, you will support the mountain gods to recite scriptures, and you will get incredible blessings.
Let's see why it is important to be a bodhisattva. There are mountains and land, and practice is strong. The earth not only collects everything, but also grows everything. Collecting is to hide the baby and hide it in the mountains. Moreover, mountains can grow everything. As long as you enter the mountains, you will hardly starve to death. Everything can grow, including food and wild fruits. So this is the merit of the mountain.
People in the city should be more grateful when climbing mountains. Those who can understand Tibet should respectfully turn from mountain to water. That's better.
