Tiantai Guoqing Temple Travel Notes
Tiantai Mountain is located in the central and eastern part of Zhejiang. It is a geomantic treasure land with outstanding people and places. Guoqing Temple in Tiantai Mountain is the ancestral hall of the Tiantai Sect of Buddhism.
Due to my ankle injury, I only rested in the film and television hall at the entrance of Guoqing Temple and waited for my companions. There happened to be some promotional videos playing in the hall, and I listened to the past and present life of Guoqing Temple. A sense of historical heaviness came over me, and I witnessed its development over more than a thousand years like a bystander traveling through the past. Master Zhizhe founded the Tiantai Sect, the first Chinese Buddhism sect, during the Chen and Sui Dynasties more than 1,400 years ago. During the Tang and Song Dynasties, it was spread to Japan and Korea, and had a profound influence.
As a human being in this world, I cannot understand the transcendence of Buddhist disciples. What I think more narrowly is the pain of cutting off the worldly bond, the pain of their parents, the pain of their wives, children, and children.
