Introduction to Dayuwan
It was built between the second year of Hongwu in Ming Dynasty (1369) and Jiaqing in Qing Dynasty.
Famous historical and cultural villages in China and cultural relics protection units in Hubei Province. There are dozens of stone houses in the Ming and Qing Dynasties, and the architectural style is the representative work of ancient dwellings in Hubei.
According to Yu's genealogy, Dayuwan architecture is a typical Wuyuan residential style. In the second year of Hongwu in the Ming Dynasty (1369), a large family named Yu moved here from Wuyuan and Dexing in Jiangxi. The ancestors of Dayuwan identified Yu Boya, an ancient pianist, as the ancestor of Yu, and claimed that Yue Fei's lineage had lived here in seclusion. Therefore, there is a saying that "the birthplace of ancestors, raising Kun fled the village." In the history of family development, the Song Dynasty had the glory of "five dynasties, one door, three princes and four ministers". During the Ming and Qing Dynasties, more than 65,438+000 scholars were born in this village, while in modern times there were more than 100 celebrities.
The overall layout of Dayuwan is peculiar. There are 75 ancient buildings in Ming and Qing dynasties, and thousands of hand-painted color murals in Qing dynasty are on the exterior walls of most ancient houses. Standing on Jiuzhai Mountain behind the village and having a bird's-eye view of the whole village, the geomantic pattern of "Left Dragon Tour, Right White Tiger Guard, Front Double Turtles Against Beidou, Back Gourd Hanging Money, and Middle Taiji Map" is clearly visible. In terms of form and pattern, materials and technology, it embodies a very complete concept of living in peace: "The front wall is surrounded by water, and the back wall is surrounded by mountains." There is a small courtyard in the compound, which surrounds every room. There are hundreds of families in the village, interspersed with twenty alleys. Every family is connected, and every household is separated from the concierge. Square stone road, drip line stone wall. Indoor carved, painted porch in front of the door. "
