Daming Mountain is a famous scenic spot among the high mountains and wonderful gorges in Hangzhou.

The Daming Mountain Scenic Area is a national AAAA-level scenic spot, located in the southwest of Lin'an County. It is also known as Qianmu Field. The mountains are flat and cover a thousand acres, hence the name. According to legend, Zhu Yuanzhang once laid down on a rock after his uprising was defeated here, hence the name; Zhu Yuanzhang once went up to the platform to pay homage to the generals when he was stationed in the countryside, so there is a general platform on the top of the mountain; Zhu Yuanzhang stationed his army in a thousand acres of land, recruited troops, bought horses, gathered for training, recharged his energy, and then killed down the mountain. He conquered the Ming Dynasty, so this mountain is called Daming Mountain. There are many strange peaks and rocks in this mountain, and the mountains are tall and steep, making it a scenic spot. There are White Snake Rock, Yaozi Peak, Yinjiang Forest, and Yulong Waterfall. Looking from a distance, the seven peaks are like thorns stabbing the sky, which is called Qifengjian; the clear stream on the top of the mountain is winding, and the swimming fish are as slender as bamboo, called bamboo leaf fish; there is a waterfall halfway up the mountain, cascading down with ups and downs of momentum.

Daming Mountain covers an area of ​​approximately 29 square kilometers. The scenic area is dominated by Daming Mountain, with 32 peaks, 13 streams and 8 waterfalls. Daming Mountain is located in Shunxi Town in the west of Lin'an. It is also known as Qianmu Field. The mountains are flat and cover a thousand acres, hence the name. "Changhua County Chronicle" records: Daming Mountain is ninety miles west of the county. Its top is more than a thousand acres wide, like flat land. It is said that when Emperor Xuanzong of the Tang Dynasty was in his infancy, he lived in seclusion here and wrote poems to clarify his ambitions: "It takes no effort to penetrate the mountains and see through the rocks, and you will know the heights of the mountains from the distance." How can the stream be kept? It will eventually become the waves of the sea. There are many strange peaks and rocks in this mountain, and the mountains are tall and steep, making it a scenic spot. The climatic conditions and geological conditions are similar to those of Huangshan Mountain. The mountain color is as dark as black, just like the splash-ink landscape in Chinese paintings. Strange pines, strange rocks, seas of clouds and peaks emerge in endlessly. It is called Zhejiang Little Huangshan Mountain. However, Daming Mountain is different from Huangshan Mountain in the south. There are several peaks above 1,400 meters and three alpine basins above 1,100 meters on the side, all composed of metamorphic sand shale and metamorphic volcanic rock. The mountains are gentle, with lush trees, abundant water and grass, and clear running water all year round. The stream flows gently in the alpine basin. Once it enters the granite area, it flows straight down, forming various waterfalls.

The foggy mountains and sea of ​​clouds are a common sight in Daming Mountain, especially in the spring and autumn. Sometimes the billowing sea of ​​clouds rolls and leaps, engulfing the green mountains; sometimes green peaks appear in the misty clouds and mountains. On summer mornings, especially when it clears up after the rain, the green hills are green, and the rising red sun reflects the white catkin-like sea of ​​clouds. Clusters of peaks and forests are exposed on the rolling sea of ​​clouds, just like the clouds scattered in the sea. Zhouxian Island.

The sea of ​​clouds in Daming Mountain is amazing, but the waterfalls there are even more amazing. The waterfalls are mainly distributed in Yulong River and Baishen Stream, which meet at Daming Village. Yulong River has abundant water and rapid currents. It flows northward in the dangerous canyon with cliffs. Not only are the mountains and rivers beautiful, the greenery is lush, but the sound of water waves as loud as thunder can be heard everywhere. The upper reaches of Yulongtan starts from Qianmu Tianbeilongmenkou. The vertical river bed suddenly increases. The drop in one kilometer is more than 400 meters. The stream splits the Wanren Stone Mountain and flows down, forming a four-level waterfall. Longmen Falls is the most spectacular. .

The White Snake Stream flows slowly from Wailantang. Once it enters the granite area, the water suddenly rushes and forms a five-level waterfall. From top to bottom, they are Jianchi Waterfall, Yuhu Waterfall, White Snake Waterfall, and Three Waterfalls. The Dragon Plays in the Pearl Waterfall has a pool between the waterfalls, and there are fish in the pool, which are about a foot long and are not startling to see anyone.

There are many strange rocks in Daming Mountain. There is a monk studying Buddhist scriptures. An old monk in cassock is climbing over the mountains towards the west. The golden toad is looking at the moon. A thousand-ton golden toad is sitting on the top of the mountain, looking at the sun. Moon and stars. However, when you change the angle, it turns into a thousand-year-old stone monkey. Going north from Longmenkou, a big stone turtle suddenly appears in front of you. When you get closer and take a closer look, you find that the turtle turns into a seal with its head raised. When you step back a little, the seal turns into a whale. This is the strange stone turtle, leopard whale. . In addition, phoenix eggs, exquisite stones, large bonsais, double peach stones, and cockscomb stones all have different shapes and are lifelike. If the pictographic stones are just some exquisite scenery, then the Linlizhu Peak here is amazing! The granite peak forest landscape is the most prominent, with flying rocks, golden roosters crowing, golden toads looking at the moon, tiger roaring rocks, Duxiu Peak, etc., especially the seven peaks.

Qifengjian is composed of seven peaks arranged like the Beidou. The cliffs under several of the pinnacles are as high as three to four hundred meters. On the steep cliffs, the erosion marks caused by running water are like the pipa played by an immortal. Duxiu Peak reminds people of Huangshan's dreamlike flowers, but its momentum makes it somewhat inferior. Especially when you climb up to the White Snake Rock and look out at the seven peaks, you can actually see the limestone peaks in Yangshuo, Guilin. They are majestic and amazing. The Tianmen opens, and it is suspected that we have reached Yaolin Wonderland. When you reach the seemingly unscalable top and take a bird's-eye view of the mountains and green mountains, you feel as if you have truly become a god.

The forest coverage rate in the area is high, and there are many precious tree species, including precious Huangshan pine, patches of Yunjin azalea and wintersweet, which is listed as a second-level protected plant by the country. Strange pines are unique in Huangshan Mountain, but they can also be found in Daming Mountain. Although these pine trees have not been trimmed in any way, the various shapes and colorful scenery make people linger.

If the above-mentioned wonderful scenery of Daming Mountain is enough to make people fall in love, then the scenery of Qianmu Field is even more impressive and admirable. The terrain of Qianmutian is gentle, and it is a small mountain valley basin surrounded by mountains. The streams meander through the basin and flow slowly. Only a mountain pass less than 30 meters wide appears near Longmenkou. The mountain pass of the stream rushes out. Next is Longmen Waterfall. The hillsides are covered with deep grass and lush forests, and wild flowers are everywhere. It’s like the turn of early summer. The mountains below are already green and fat, but red and thin. Here, however, there are orchids and rhododendrons in full bloom. The colors are as colorful as the clouds. It’s really beautiful. The soil at the bottom of the valley is deep and the water plants are abundant. In the past, thousands of acres of fertile farmland were cultivated here, hence the name Qianmu Field. On the top of the towering and abrupt Wanren Chong Mountain, a simple and quiet valley and basin scenery appears. This is not only beyond the imagination of ordinary people, but has never been heard of even in famous mountains in China. There are two mountaintop valley basins similar to Qianmutian here. One is Lilantang, which is separated from Qianmutian by a ridge. It has an altitude of 1,100 meters and has now been built into a high mountain reservoir. It is really called Gaoxia Chupinghu; the other is Lilantang. Wailantang, located in Baishenyan, also has celestial scenery such as sea of ​​clouds and sunrise, as well as cultural landscapes such as Baijiangtai, Yinjiang Village, Huizhao Temple, and modern revolutionary activity sites. Daming Mountain Scenic Area also includes Ruijing Cave, Yuling Pass, Tuankou Hot Spring and other scenic spots.
