Basic knowledge of mo jadeite
Dark green jadeite is called "Cui Mo" for short, and the academic terminology in mineralogy is called "omphacite jadeite" or "omphacite jadeite".
Cui Mo is a new term in jadeite, which has only become popular in recent years. Many people are not familiar with the term Cui Mo, but they are very curious about it. In fact, it is not a high-grade jade, but it is very attractive because it is buried deep in the earth's surface and its output is limited, combined with the carving art and jade culture in China. If the water planted is good and of high quality, it will be more valuable. The magnetic field is strong because it is close to the center of the earth. Feng Shui masters agree that Cui Mo has the functions of exorcising evil spirits, resisting viruses and driving away wild animals, and also has a magnetic field to attract wealth.
The color varies from dark green to dark green, which is black under ordinary sunlight or reflected light, green or dark green under transmitted light, with heavy color, fine texture and dense particles. Burmese people call it "the shadow of lovers". The biggest feature of Cui Mo is that it looks completely different in color under reflected light and transmitted light, which is mysterious and attractive. This is also one of the reasons why Cui Mo has swept the market in these short years-the hidden color function.
(There are also many people who confuse the words Cui Mo and Mo Yu. Black jade is a kind of nephrite with deep color. ). A friend often asks if a lot of ink sold outside is ink, blue water or oily green. And how to identify whether it is Cui Mo? A friend often asks what clear water, green water and blue water are, and answers them here: clear water, green water and blue water, in plain English, are good water, with bright and not gloomy background, blue or green, and belong to oil-green jadeite.
In the internal mineral content of jadeite, the iron content is gradually increasing, so jadeite has a blue background color. If the water is well planted, such as fine texture, high transparency and no gray background, it is called clear water, green water, clear water or lake green. If more iron is added, the background color of jadeite will be gray and oily, which is what we usually call ordinary oily green.
If the iron content is increased a little, the content of omphacite in it will become higher, and it will become oil green similar to omphacite, with slightly different physical characteristics and lower hardness, which is on the edge of jadeite in a narrow sense. If the proportion of omphacite in the oil green of omphacite is high, it is the dark green of omphacite jadeite, with good water head, high transparency, green transparency and lower hardness than jadeite.
More Cui Mo in the market is another kind of "pyroxene jadeite", which does not belong to the narrow sense of jadeite, because the composition of jadeite is less than 80%, and its physical characteristics are obviously different: it is dry, its transparency is worse than that of omphacite jadeite, its hardness is higher, and some of it is even higher than that of jadeite, and its refractive index is higher than that of jadeite. There is also jet, but it is not jet. Both reflected light and projected light are black.
I don't know if I made it clear. In a word, there are actually several kinds of "Cui Mo" on the market, including green glow petroleum blue, omphacite black jade, glow graphite jade and jet jade. Of course, there are also ordinary oil blue or blue water with darker colors and thicker clothes to imitate ink marks.
The best way to distinguish Cui Mo from the imitations appearing in the market is to go to the appraisal institute, hand over the problem to experts, and analyze it by using the characteristics of relative density, refractive index and infrared spectrum, because it is impossible for naked eyes to judge the internal mineral composition. Of course, the naked eye can distinguish the following features:1; Color: reflected light is dark green or dark green, and projected light is green or dark green; Transparency and structure: fine texture, dense particles and good transparency.
2. Common sense of jadeite Excuse me, is there a kind of jadeite called Cui Mo?
The ink is black and the jade is green. Cui Mo refers to black jadeite with green in black, not jet, black agate and black diamond. They are different jade materials.
Not many people know about jet. What products are there on the market? Put it down. From 00 to 600, it became the crown of jade in Chinese jade culture. In addition to the crystal clear texture, it is more important to win people's love with its rich, magnificent and profound colors. Its main colors are scarlet, emerald and violet, and others are white and black. The white one is called white dried emerald, and the black one is called dark green. White-dried emerald is a very common emerald, because it is colorless, while true ink emerald is rare and precious.
To evaluate the quality of Mo Cui, we should also observe it from five aspects: species, water, color, carving, workmanship and defects. A good mocui must be fine in texture, compact and uniform in structure, good in light transmittance, and black as ink, but green has no obvious flaws and defects. It must be exquisite in workmanship and auspicious in content. This kind of Mo Cui should be said to be a good work of art, and it is also a rare variety and a rare collection in the jade family.
As a precious and rare natural resource, jet is thick in color, greasy in texture, dark as ink, bright and lovely, and is known as a precious material for processing inkstones and knives. The ancients called it "gem" together with diamonds, precious stones and colored stones. The raw material of a kind of glass jadeite comes from the original stone of Laokeng jadeite, but the raw material of Laokeng jadeite is very rare in the producing area, accounting for less than 1% of the raw material output of mineral jadeite. Gambling stone means betting on the planting water of jadeite and the green of jadeite, while the original jadeite stone in the old pit often has a shell, and its original stone is also gambling stone. In recent years, most of these rough stones need to be auctioned in the raw material market, whether in Myanmar or China, so Laokeng jadeite rough stones are relatively rare.
Second, the glass species of jadeite Jade is the best jade species among jade species, that is, treasures; Below this level are ice seeds, egg white seeds, waxy seeds, litchi seeds and bean seeds. , its transparency is translucent to slightly transparent. The biggest feature of three kinds of glass jadeite jadeite "planting water" glass jadeite is the highest transparency, almost complete transparency, less inclusions, that is, less impurities and crystal clear; In the industry, glass species are called "the oldest species" and "the richest water head"; "Head" is divided into "one to ten water"; Therefore, glass jadeite is precious.
Four kinds of glass jadeite have reached the level of glass jadeite, which is relatively small; It is more precious to have floating jade; If there are many floating cuisines, even all green, and the green is just right, it is extremely precious and reaches the best of jade. Auction records of five kinds of glass jadeites have been shown in the auction records over the years: jadeite products full of green glass, the transaction price of a pendant reached several million yuan, the transaction price of a finger-sized ring face reached 10 million yuan, the transaction price of a bracelet reached 19 million yuan, the transaction price of a bead chain reached 80 million yuan, and so on.
