Famous ancient buildings on both sides of Haihe River in Tianjin

1, Lishunde Hotel, after 136 years of wind and rain, still retains the style of British classical architecture and the characteristics of European medieval rural architecture, and is a unique representative building of Tianjin Concession.

2. Wanghailou Church, located on the north side of the west end of Shizilin Street, Hebei District, Tianjin, diagonally opposite Shizilin Bridge, was named after Wanghailou, the former site. Built at the end of 1869, this church has a European Gothic architectural style and is the first church built after Catholicism was introduced into Tianjin.

3. Tianhou Palace is the oldest building complex in Tianjin, and one of the earliest existing Mazu Tempel in China. It is a religious building. The building complex faces the Haihe River from west to east, and consists of the mountain gate, the archway, the front hall and the main hall.

4. Jade Emperor Pavilion, built in the second year of Xuande in Ming Dynasty (1427), was restored and rebuilt in Hongzhi, Wanli, Kangxi and Guangxu in Qing Dynasty. Now only the main building, Jade Emperor Pavilion, is left.

5. Wan Guo Bridge is an all-steel openable bridge, which can be used by cargo ships and tourist ships. It is not only one of the landmark buildings in Tianjin, but also a hub bridge connecting Hebei with peace and communicating with Tianjin Railway Station.
