Historical Evolution of Dayuwan Village

Dayuwan is located in the northwest corner of huangpi district, and belongs to the famous Mulan Scenic Area. It is about 40 kilometers away from the downtown area of Wuhan, surrounded by mountains and rivers, with picturesque scenery. The ancient buildings in the village belong to folk buildings in the late Ming and early Qing dynasties, and more than 20 alleys are separated vertically and horizontally. There are more than 50 stone houses, most of which are still well preserved. These stone houses with carved beams and painted buildings are typical Huizhou architectural styles in Ming and Qing Dynasties. The ancestors of this village once had a glorious history of "five generations, one door, three governors and four ministers".

Dayuwan and Wuyuan come down in one continuous line. The ancestors of this bay are a large family named Yu. In the early Ming Dynasty, Zhu Yuanzhang ordered a great migration from Jiangxi to Hunan, and in the second year of Hongwu (1369), he moved from Wuyuan and Dexing in Jiangxi to Mulan River today, which was recorded in Yu's genealogy for the first time. I chose to settle here because I thought this bay was an extremely rare "land of geomantic omen".

The ancient village of Dayuwan embodies the humanistic spirit of being close to and respecting nature. Mulan Mountain is Zhong Ling's masterpiece in nature, and Mulan River is a gallery-style ecological canyon with a length of 10 km. Dayu Bay is located on the southeast slope of Mulan Mountain, at the south exit of Mulan River, which makes the beautiful natural scenery in this area strongly participate in the shaping of the local culture of Dayu Bay. The landscape in front of the village and behind the village has been incorporated into the overall planning and layout of the village, and has been given a unique humanistic connotation.

Because of its remarkable architectural and cultural characteristics, Dayuwan was awarded as a provincial cultural relic protection unit in June 2002.

In September, 2005, Dayuwan was awarded a famous historical and cultural village in China by the Ministry of Construction and National Cultural Heritage Administration.

As early as 2007, huangpi district completed the protection and construction planning of two ancient dwellings in Dayuwan, and passed the evaluation of the expert group. According to the plan, investors will invest about 65.438+0.5 billion yuan in Dayuwan to build "three lines and twelve nodes", "five natural groups" and "vestibule backyard". Upon completion, Dayuwan will form an ancient building visiting area and a back mountain experience area.

Through the display of five key ancient houses and the centralized construction of hundreds of houses, the ancient building visiting area allows visitors to feel the profound ancient house culture of China from the elaborate houses, exquisite decorations and the creation of family culture. The Houshan Experience Zone derives a series of tourism products from the 600-year-old human history and allusions in Dayu Bay, attracting tourists to explore and experience in the process of mountaineering, such as the filial piety culture-the story of stacking stones, the tradition of customs and people's feelings-the legend of drying rice stones, the reading tradition of Dayu Bay-the academy and Confucian temple in Xifeng, and the exploration of Hulutang, the root of Dayu Bay's prosperity, and so on. The two regions are self-contained, with their own characteristics and complementary advantages, which together constitute the comprehensive tourism body of Dayu Bay. Road reconstruction, pond weir reconstruction and tourism facilities in the scenic spot are in progress, and the park is expected to be fully opened on 20 10.
