Mojiang River is located in the southwest border of the motherland, south of Yunnan Province and north of Pu 'er City. It borders Yuanjiang County, Honghe County and Lu Chun County of Yuxi City in the east, Jiangcheng County of Pu 'er City in the south, Ninger County of Pu 'er City across the Bian Jiang in the west, and Zhenyuan County of Pu 'er City and Xinping County of Yuxi City in the north, with a land area of 53 12 square kilometers, and the mountainous area accounts for 99.98% of the total area.

It is a mountainous agricultural county with "one county, three states (cities)".
