What feng shui properties have evolved from the idea of harmony between man and nature?
Since heaven and man are one, the following geomantic properties have evolved: (1) Unity. China's ancient geographical thought holds that the four systems of heaven, earth, man and life are an organic unity. Human society is integrated in nature, as an organic part of nature. On the relationship between man and land, China's ancient geographical thought is different from the viewpoint that "man can conquer nature" and "man is the master of nature". It is also different from the viewpoints of "Heaven conquers man" and "geographical environment determinism". China's ancient geographical view holds that on the one hand, people act on nature, and at the same time, nature will react on human society. Human society and nature interact through complex and wonderful natural economic and social law. (2) Harmony. China's ancient geographical thought pursues the harmony between man and nature, man and society, part and whole. It is believed that harmony is the only way to achieve luck and prosperity. (3) Symmetry and balance. According to China's ancient geographical thought, the organism is symmetrical and balanced, the four elephants (green dragon, white tiger, suzaku and Xuanwu) are symmetrical, and the two instruments (yin, yang and north and south poles) are symmetrical, so the design and layout environment should be symmetrical and balanced. If there are mountains and water, there are high and low, the central axis and plane layout should be symmetrical and clear. (4) Diversity and richness. The geographical environment is complex and diverse, and various natural, economic, cultural and other factors vary widely, each with its own personality. Therefore, the specific location and layout of a certain environment must vary from place to place.
