Tongxin Town’s tourist attractions
Xiaoniang Mountain is located in Jinji Town and Tongxin Town, Teng County, more than 20 kilometers away from the county seat. The mountain extends southward to Cenxi County, and the ridge mainly runs east-west. It is about 4 kilometers wide from east to west and 6 kilometers long from north to south, with a total area of more than 20 square kilometers. The main peak is 474.3 meters above sea level.
The Xiaoniangshan Forest Farm is located here. Xiaoniang Mountain is rich in forest resources, mainly pine and fir. It is also rich in cassava, and produces lac, cinnamon, star anise, Amomum villosum, bergamot and other Chinese medicinal materials. There are rare wild animals such as macaques, pangolins, mountain pigs, and civets in the mountains. According to legend, several geographers in the Tang Dynasty came here to perform acupuncture and saw a stunningly beautiful girl weaving in a cave. She was suddenly shrouded in thick fog and disappeared, so she named it Xiaoniang Mountain. Xiaoniang Mountain is composed of three main peaks: Daniang, Erniang and Sanniang. The mountains are majestic, tall and graceful. The mountains are filled with clouds, mist, and mist all year round. The mountains and plains are covered with azaleas and camellias. In spring and summer, wild flowers are in full bloom, red as fire and white as clouds, dazzling; in late autumn, red maples are in full swing, and the mountains are covered in red. The mountains are crisscrossed with ravines and flowing water, contrasting with the green trees and exquisite rocks. Nearby, the stone cliffs are abrupt and covered with moss, and the cliffs are high and covered with green moss; in the distance, there are green pines and green bamboos, thousands of trees competing in spring, and a group of peaks in various shapes. Climbing to the top and looking into the distance, the Beiliu River passes quietly in front of the mountain, shaped like a horse, floating down among the mountains and blending into the earth. Xiaoniang Mountain has become a popular place for tourists.
