Architectural features of Weilong House
The main characteristics of Meizhou Weilong House are as follows: 1. Central axis symmetry, orderly order; the courtyard is organized around the hall. 2. There must be a half-moon-shaped pond in front of the house, and there must be a half-moon-shaped body behind the house. The two semicircles are congruent, forming the same Tai Chi pattern of yin and yang. Two semicircles surround the square main room, which means "the sky is round and the earth is round", and the whole house is likened to a small universe, embodying the philosophical thought of "the unity of nature and man".
3. Hakka Feng Shui geographers often compare the dragon houses in the main hall to the human body, and use the proportions of the human body to determine the proportion and plane relationship of the entire house.
