I said: The station is in Jiaojiang. Foreigners say: Then let’s just say people from Taizhou. Why do we say people from Jiaojiang, Huangyan, and Luqiao, while Shanghainese say they are from Shanghai, not Huangpu District, Changning District, and Hangzhou people don’t say they are from Shangcheng District? He is from Gongshu District. I said: This is the characteristic of Taizhou. Huangyan has a long history, Jiaojiang was established as a city earlier, and the road and bridge markets are developed. Taizhou City parachuted in to cover the three districts. No one is satisfied. Now the territory of the three districts belongs to the original Huangyan City. Huangyan people are used to being grandfathers and grandchildren, and they feel very unhappy. Jiaojiang was originally a city with independent powers. Now the land and output value of the development zone belong to the city. They are unhappy, and Linhai is even more unhappy. The prefecture-level city resident has been moved. Speaking of the issue of integrating the three districts into one, what will happen even if they are connected? Urban construction is of no use if it is connected but not connected. The fifth city in Zhejiang has become the sixth city. Jiaxing is developing rapidly. This year, Taizhou is the only prefecture-level city in the province with a decline in fiscal revenue. As a Huangyan native, when it comes to the development of Taizhou, the most pity is Huangyan, and the second pity is Linhai. The successful Jiaojiang Road and Bridge actually cannot support Taizhou. Linhai’s cultural heritage is there, including Lingjiang, East Lake, the Millennium Ancient City, Taizhou Prefecture, Jiangnan Great Wall, Linhai Middle School, Taiwan First Medical Center, etc. It is a perfect place to serve as a cultural center. Huangyan's industrial base, molding industry, agricultural products, including Changtan Reservoir, tourism, etc., can actually achieve a lot. But now there is no financial support and it has slowly fallen behind. Open the map and take a look. Jiaojiang is such a big place and cannot bear the name of Taizhou to compete with Ningbo, Shaoxing and Wenzhou. Roads and bridges are facing the siphon effect of Jiaojiang. They used to rely on Huangyan, but now they rely on Jiaojiang. It is difficult to stand alone. As for Huangyan people, Linhai people, and Wenling people, who would say that they are from Taizhou? We are all "Taizhou natives"
When I started studying in college in 2000, people asked me where I was from, and I said I was from Tiantai. It’s now 2021, and when people ask me where I’m from, I’m from Taizhou. This has gradually become everyone’s common sense: “We are all Taizhou people.”
Including business trips to Hangzhou and Shanghai, we all introduce ourselves as "Taizhou people" and rarely say that we are from that county or city. Taizhou is developing rapidly, and everyone's life and consciousness have also kept up. The integration of Jiaojiang, Huangyan, and roads and bridges is the general trend. In the future, we will all realize such a city life, and we are all "Taizhou people".
It should be possible. The general pattern has been formed, and the construction of intercity transportation such as inner ring and light rail is in full swing. It is estimated that the prototype of the conjoined body can be seen within three to five years.

In terms of hardware facilities in Taizhou City Huangyan District, Jiaojiang District, and Luqiao District will not be connected into one. For now, Yu Gong Yishan has disappeared. The mountain in the middle blocks the integrated structure of the city. It will take a long time to rely on surrounding the city. Even so, it is still a hollow main body. The layout of a hollow city is not good in Feng Shui either! Government functions are still based on multi-city co-creation and fail to operate as an overall administrative system, including planning, regions, urban construction, civil affairs, and regions, all of which are labeled as such-and-such district, such-and-such township and street in Taizhou City. You cannot use Tianchang Road in Taizhou City or Tengda Road in Taizhou City, etc.
The main problem is that the road and bridge development in the south direction of Jiaojiang River has been connected to the edge of the road and bridge, and the road and bridge has been developed in the north direction to connect with Jiaojiang River. The west side of Jiaojiang River has developed to the edge of Huangyan, and Huangyan has never moved eastward. It is developing towards a chemical industry park.
If we don’t change our xenophobic habits, we will never develop well. In addition, the dialect is severe and the penetration rate of Mandarin is very low. It feels like a large rural area that has made a fortune. There is no policy to attract the permanent residents, but there is an xenophobic atmosphere. It is really difficult!
I work in Luqiao District. Taizhou City Government moved from Linhai to Jiaojiang more than 20 years ago. There are three districts of Luqiao, Jiaojiang, and Huangyan. Whether they will be connected into one is also a matter for the national government. It’s hard for us to say. I think it’s impossible in the next ten years. No one knows what will happen in ten years.
