Announcement on the closure of colorful Danxia tourist scenic spot in Zhangye

Zhangye Colorful Danxia Tourist Scenic Area is located in Linze and Sunan counties of Zhangye City, covering an area of 5 10 square kilometers. It is a compound area of Danxia landform and colorful hilly landscape, and was rated as one of the seven most beautiful Danxia landforms in China by chinese national geography magazine.

The scenic spots belong to Linze County and Sunan County, and the two administrative regions sell tickets separately. The entrance of Linze Management Zone is located in Nijiaying Township, Linze County, and the entrance of Sunan Management Zone is located in Baiyin Township, Sunan County. Ordinary tourists go to Linze Administrative District more often. No matter which scenic spot, public transportation is underdeveloped, and the best choice is chartered tour.

Danxia landform belongs to red bed landform, which refers to isolated peaks and steep rocks formed by long-term weathering and stripping of red sandstone and water scouring. It is the general name of all kinds of Danxia peaks developed along vertical joints in extremely thick red sandstone and conglomerate layers, mainly developed in horizontal or gently inclined red strata from Jurassic to Tertiary. This landform is the most typical one in Danxia Mountain in northern Guangdong, so it is called Danxia landform.
