Is the G212 national highway from Guangyuan, Sichuan to Jiuzhaigou easy to travel?

We drove to Jiuzhaigou last November, starting from Guangyuan at 6pm and arriving at the mouth of Jiuzhaigou at 10pm.

It took more than 3 to 4 hours, and it felt much closer than the journey from Chengdu or Mianyang to Jiuzhaigou.

There is a section of the road from Wenxian County to Jiuzhaigou that is not good, but the rest is fine. There is no need to climb mountains. Most of the road is run at the foot of the mountain, so it is not very dangerous.

Check the weather before going. As long as there is no heavy rain, it should be safe. There is no dark ice on that road in September.

I have been to Jiuzhaigou from Mianyang before. It takes about 7-8 hours by car and has to climb high mountains. Sometimes the road is blocked by heavy snow in November. The altitude here in Guangyuan is relatively low, so just pay attention to safety on the road.
