In order to stabilize the state of the guitar after repair, we did not rush to repair it, but dehumidified it first. Guitar is placed in a suitable environment and dried with desiccant to reduce the deformation of cracks and create good conditions for later repair.
The deformation of guitar has been improved after dehumidification. Now clean up the residual glue on the guitar and make the bonding surface as smooth and tight as possible. This step should not be sloppy, otherwise it will leave some tiny gaps on the bonding surface, which will affect the bonding strength. After cleaning, flat-fell seam, glue, clamp, and fixed with adhesive tape.

1, China is a vast country with different climatic conditions. The optimum humidity for guitar maintenance is between 45% and 55%. Too dry may lead to wood cracking, while too much water may lead to deformation and degumming. It is especially important to remind everyone that after the guitar has been transported for a long distance (especially now it is more convenient to buy online), if the weather difference between the starting point and the arrival point is too big (whether it is temperature or humidity, such as the north and south in winter), don't rush to open the piano box! Be sure to let the guitar stay in the piano box for another 1 or 2 days, and give the guitar a buffer process to adapt to the bad weather changes. Otherwise, the moment you open the piano box, it may cause irreparable damage to the guitar!

If the soundboard of the guitar is cracked, please send it to repair as soon as possible (unless you plan not to use this guitar in the future), otherwise, if the cracking and deformation are too serious, it will bring great difficulties to the maintenance work and the stability of the guitar will be greatly affected after repair.
