Disassembly and installation method of engine water pump ()

Disassembly/installation of water pump (taking BYD F0 engine as an example)

1 Loosen the generator and remove the timing belt;

2 loosen bolt a first;

3 loosen bolt b again, so that bolt b can be loosened;

Finally, loosen the bolt C, loosen the generator and remove the synchronous belt;

5 Remove the plug at the lower end of the water pump body and drain the engine coolant;

6 Remove the connecting plate of the water pump and unscrew the five bolts on the water pump.

7 Install in the reverse order of disassembly.

Installation instructions of water pump

1 Tighten the bolt as shown in the figure first, and pay attention to the installation direction of the gasket, so as not to install it backwards. Torque: 25 Nm; ;

2 Install water inlet hoses such as elastic hoops at the position shown in the figure, and then tighten the bolts below; Torque: 25 Nm; ;

3 When installing the water pump, pay attention to the bolt installation sequence as shown in the figure. Torque: 25 Nm; ;

4. When installing the water pump connecting plate, fix the position with a special tool, and then tighten the bolt with a torque of15n-m;

5 After the installation is completed, pay attention to check whether there is water leakage.
