Cold limbs, how to supervise moxibustion in dog days?
Du moxibustion therapy is based on the meridian theory of traditional Chinese medicine, and "warming yang and dredging du" is used to adjust the functional state of the whole body. In Huangdi Neijing Su Wenyi Fang Lun, it is also mentioned that "... its treatment should be changed, so moxibustion is the best". It adopts traditional moxibustion therapy, which integrates Du-moxibustion powder, ginger paste and moxibustion treatment. Warm ginger paste and moxibustion can enhance skin permeability and promote the absorption of medicinal components of Du-moxibustion powder. It can not only warm kidney and strengthen bone, but also replenish essence and marrow to treat the root of kidney deficiency; It can also warm meridians and dredge collaterals, promote qi and blood circulation, dispel cold and remove dampness, remove blood stasis and break blood stasis, so as to treat blood stasis of Du meridian.
Du moxibustion has the functions of warming yang, dredging collaterals, expelling wind and removing dampness. It is used for pain and chills in joints such as neck, shoulders, waist, legs and knees caused by wind-cold, dampness and meridian obstruction. It is mainly used to treat intractable bone arthralgia (spinal arthralgia), that is, ankylosing spondylitis with kidney deficiency, spleen dampness and phlegm turbidity, and blood stasis blocking collaterals. In addition, it is also effective for rheumatoid arthritis and postpartum arthritis (including joint pain caused by abortion). Clinically, it is often used to treat spinal and osteoarticular diseases, such as lumbar disc herniation, lumbar spinal canal stenosis, rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, sacral arthritis, senile osteoporosis, femoral head necrosis and so on.
As a treatment method, Du Moxibustion can be performed at any time as long as the symptoms are appropriate, but the treatment effect is better in dog days. From the perspective of traditional Chinese medicine, Yang Qi in dog days is the richest in a year. According to the theory of "nourishing yang in spring and summer" in Huangdi Neijing, Yang Qi in nature is taken to enrich Yang Qi in human body at this time, so as to keep it in an abundant and vigorous functional state. The human body is easy to dredge the meridians, the qi and blood are smooth, and the medicinal properties are easy to reach the viscera. Moxibustion therapy is often effective, which fully embodies the unity of man and nature.
In addition, Du Moxibustion also has its strict contraindications. Such as diabetes, hypertension, coronary heart disease, skin ulcers, fever and other patients are not suitable for moxibustion.
After moxibustion, you should pay attention to the following matters: it takes 6 hours to take a bath; Wear loose cotton clothes to reduce local skin friction; Apply soft moisturizing milk locally; Do not drink alcohol, avoid spicy food and seafood; Drink more warm water, at least 3000ml a day, and don't drink sweet drinks; Because Du Moxibustion is dry, you should eat more fruits and vegetables, keep your stool unobstructed and prevent getting angry.
