General situation of Xi Zhong and its surrounding allusions

Brief introduction of Xi Zhong and its surrounding areas

The origin of Zhongcun is 25 kilometers south of Dingzhou and 48 kilometers northeast of Shijiazhuang. Located at the junction of Dingzhou, Wuji and Xinle counties, it is 5 km away from Wuji/KLOC-0 in the south and 24km away from Xinle in the west. It is a resident of Xi Zhong Town, with a natural population of 5,000. The main food crops are wheat and corn. Because Xi Zhong and the land about 2km south of it are sandy soil, the cash crops suitable for planting are peanuts, watermelons and sweet potatoes.

It is said that the reason for the formation of this sandy soil is that during the Xin Mang period, Wang Mang drove Liu Xiu here to fight, and Wang Mang used magic to cover Liu Xiu with sand, which would only leave no harvest in the future and leave the sand here. 1.5-2km In the south and southwest of Xi Zhong, there are two villages named after sand, Liutuo Village and Liusha Village. There are many villages named after Wang Mang's expulsion of Liu Xiu, namely, Wang Mang Village, 65,438+0km northeast (where Wang Mang once lived), Wang Su, 4km southeast, accommodation village, 65,438+02km east (where Liu Xiu once stayed), and Dawuwu Village, anguo city, 22km east (where Liu Xiu was given by five female bodhisattvas of our temple).

Other allusions include Liantai (Lian Po Dianjiangtai) 5.5km southwest of Xi Mausoleum, and Wei Zi (the place of the son of heaven) 0/8km east of/kloc, etc.

The origin of dormant burial

According to legend, during the Warring States Period, the dissolute king saw the beautiful wife of Han Feng in Shangqiu, Henan Province, and wanted to marry Han's wife as his concubine. In a desperate situation, Han's wife made a condition to build a 70-foot-high altar in the palace. After the altar is repaired, she will enter the palace, and she will be allowed to pray for her husband on the altar every day. If not, she would rather die than go to the palace. King Qi Min generously promised to urge his ministers to build an altar, which has been completed. After entering the palace, Han's wife went to the altar first, prayed for her lost husband on the altar, and then jumped off the altar to commit suicide. King Qi Min was furious after being cheated: "I told you not to be together after death." His wife was buried in Zhongshan State (now Dingzhou) seven or eight hundred miles away. Therefore, because his wife was buried here, it was called "daughter-in-law's tomb", and the place name was simplified to "rest tomb".

The origin of lotus platform

Liantai, located 5.5 kilometers southwest of Xi Zhong, is like a horn inserted between Wuji County and Xinle County in Shijiazhuang, with Wuji County in the south and southeast and Xinle County in the west and northwest. It has a natural population of more than 6,000 and belongs to Xi Zhong Town. During the Warring States period, it was once a city (equivalent to the present county seat). In the 1950s, there were still rubble accumulation and the remains of Liangmatai. The village once became a no-man's land, that is, Dingzhou, Wuji and Xinle all forgot the village, and did not accept food or donate. Before bidding farewell to the children who lost their mothers, the village took the initiative to contact Dingzhou and distinguished it from the accent in the village. During the Warring States Period, the State of Zhao occupied Zhongshan, where General Lian Po led the troops to build a platform, which was called "Lian Po's commanding platform", hence the name "Lian Po".

The origin of seven levels

Level 7, 20 kilometers southeast of Xi Zhong, now belongs to Weizi Town, Dingzhou City. It is said that this village is the hometown of Zhang Jiao, the leader of the Yellow Scarf Peasant Rebel Army. After the defeat of the Yellow Scarf Army, Zhang Jiao's brothers were killed, and their bodies were stolen back to their hometown for burial by local farmers. They were sacrificed for 7749 days with traditional funeral customs, so they were called the Seven Sacrifices. In order to escape the official investigation, the hidden "sacrifice" was "sacrifice" and later evolved into seven levels. There is an existing tomb of Zhang Jiao here.

Little knowledge: Why did the Yellow Scarf Uprising Army wear the yellow scarf?

The origin of ancient city

The ancient city is located 35km northeast of Xi Zhong, and now belongs to Dongting Town, Dingzhou City. Originally in the Western Han Dynasty (206- 195 BC), Anxian belonged to Zhongshan County. In the fifth year of the Yuan Dynasty (BC 124), the son of King Jing of Zhongshan was made an official. Emperor Zhang of the Eastern Han Dynasty changed his surname. Liu Bei led Guan Gong and Zhang Fei to participate in the suppression of the Yellow Scarf peasant uprising army and was elected as the county commandant of Anxi County. Romance of the Three Kingdoms II: Zhang Yide whipped Du You; It happened right here. In the early years of the great cause of the Sui Dynasty (605), Anxi County was abandoned. Because it was the site of an ancient city, it was later named Old City and later written as Gucheng.
