From the definition, we can understand it from two aspects:
First, group counseling is a form of psychological counseling. There are two forms of psychological counseling, one is individual counseling and the other is group counseling.
Second, it gives advice to others through "groups". Individual counseling and group counseling are two complementary forms of counseling, and their basic goals are the same, both of which are to help individuals grow, develop and adapt.
However, individual counseling and group counseling are different, each with its own characteristics and effective scope. Part of the effect of group counseling is beyond the reach of individual counseling. Compared with individual counseling, group counseling has its unique advantages.
