Brief introduction of weather radar
Weather radar is a radar that uses the scattering and absorption of electromagnetic waves by precipitation particles such as clouds, rain and snow to detect the spatial distribution and vertical structure of precipitation and use it as an early warning and tracking precipitation system. This is a weather radar. The commonly used wavelengths are mostly in the range of 1- 10cm. Because the wavelength attenuation of 10cm is small, it can better detect typhoons, rainstorms and hail. At present, domestic 7 13 radar (5.6cm), 7 14 radar (10cm) and 71radar (3.2cm) are widely used in China, which can detect weather systems within several hundred kilometers around radar stations.
