In the soluble rock area, the destruction and transformation of soluble rock under the combined action of chemical processes (dissolution and precipitation) and physical processes (erosion and deposition of running water, gravity collapse and accumulation) of surface water and groundwater is called karstification. The rocks in Jin Shiyuan are all soluble limestone, and caves, gullies and other phenomena also conform to the characteristics of karst landforms, so experts believe that the landforms in Jin Shiyuan are ancient karst landforms, also known as ancient karst landforms. The landform of Jin Shiyuan is rare in the north, and it is the most typical karst landform in the north, and it is also typical in the Yunnan-Guizhou Plateau in the south. Geographical location Then why didn't other places in the north produce such a typical karst landform? Experts explained that it is because of the differences in climate, lithology and ancient topography. From southern Liaoning to northern Liaoning, the climate can not meet the requirements of karst formation, and the areas that meet the climate requirements are not necessarily conducive to dissolved limestone, nor are they necessarily conducive to the relatively flat ancient topography of surface water infiltration. It seems that the conditions for the formation of karst landforms like Jin Shiyuan are also very harsh, and Jin Shiyuan is also the darling of nature. Aotan Scenic Area Group Aotan Scenic Area Group is located at the easternmost point of Jinshitan, where there are ancient sedimentary strata 600 million years ago.
