Hao Mengling:

Hao Mengling (1898~1937) was born in Zhuanghe Village, Gaocheng City, Hebei Province. He studied in the Army Officer Primary School and Baoding Officer School. During the Anti-Japanese War, he served as the frontline commander of Lieutenant General of the Central Corps of the Ministry of Defense Lihuang. During the Battle of Xinkou, on October 16, 1937, he died heroically in the "Battle of Xinkou" on the front line of Dabaishui, Shanxi. The Nationalist Government posthumously recognized him as an Army General, and after the founding of the People's Republic of China, he was posthumously recognized as a revolutionary martyr. General Hao Mengling was the first military commander to die on the anti-Japanese battlefield in the early days of the Anti-Japanese War. Hao Baicun (August 8, 1919~), courtesy name Bochun, was born in Yancheng, Jiangsu Province. Chairman of the Presidium of the Central Evaluation Committee of the Chinese Kuomintang[1]. First-class general officer of the Taiwan authorities[2]. Hao Longbin, a military general of the Chinese Kuomintang, the "Executive President" of Taiwan (1990-1993), and the current mayor of Taipei, is the son of Hao Baicun. During the Kinmen Artillery War in 1958, he served as a major general and division commander in Kinmen. He successively served as commander of the Kinmen Defense Command and commander-in-chief of the Army. He was later promoted to first-class general and chief of staff, serving for eight years (1981-1989) [2]. Hao Baicun once planned to send troops to take back the Diaoyu Islands, but Lee Teng-hui opposed it[3]. Hao Baicun adheres to the "one China" principle and opposes "Taiwan independence." During his term as "Executive Yuan", he approved the establishment of the Taiwan Mainland Affairs Council and the Taiwan Straits Exchange Foundation, which opened up channels for mutual communication and coordination between Taiwan and the mainland. On September 3, 2005, he was invited to the Great Hall of the People in Beijing to attend the commemoration of the 60th anniversary of the victory of the Chinese People’s War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the Anti-Fascist War, and was awarded a commemorative medal
