Introduction to Datianding

Datianding is located in the east of Dacheng Town, Xinyi City, Guangdong Province, more than 50 kilometers away from the urban area and 26 kilometers away from Dacheng Town. The geographical coordinates are 22°17′31″ north latitude, 110°12′51″ east longitude, and an altitude of 1704 meters. It is located at the southern end of the subtropical zone. It is the main peak of the Yunwu Mountains and the highest peak in western Guangdong. It is one of the eight scenic spots in Xinyi City. ". There are dozens of peaks with an altitude of more than 1,000 meters nearby. It is the area with the best preserved natural forest vegetation in western Guangdong, and is a precious green resource bank and gene bank. Since Datianding was uplifted into land during the ancient Caledonian movement, it has not been affected by sea transgression. With different vertical elevations, the natural landscape changes in zones. Datianding is truly a climate zone with four seasons on one mountain and different weather for ten miles. Here, the annual average temperature is 17℃-18℃. Even going to the top of the mountain in summer is as cool as autumn. Datianding used to be a barren mountain. In 1956, the state-owned Dawuling Forest Farm was built on the mountainside. In 1973, a radio and television relay station was built on the top of the mountain. The Pearl River station was relayed through VHF channel 4. The road from Dacheng Town to the top of the mountain was opened. Many tourists come to visit. From the foot of the mountain to the top of Datian, the road winds up for more than 10 miles, making people feel like riding a dragon up to nine heavens.

People climb to the top of the field and look into the distance, with mountains all at their feet and a vast forest sea in front of them. The waterfalls with different postures, under the sunlight, have flying rainbow shadows and are colorful. Located at an altitude of 1,570 meters, the Datianding Reservoir is like a "Sky Lake", as clear as a mirror, like a sparkling gem embedded in the green mountains and green forests. The scenery along Datianding is full of scenery, including river valleys, mountains, rocks, ancient trees, ancient vines, grasses...all kinds of strange and beautiful. There is an oblique and flat "Beauty Looking Mirror". This stone is oval in shape, with a long axis diameter of 14 meters and an oblique short axis diameter of 12 meters. It is lifelike. There is also a rice field on the stone, which is really rare. There is also a sliver of sky between which only one person can pass, a rocking stone with two stacked stones, and a cave with unpredictable depths... Strange rocks can be seen everywhere.

Mountain springs can be found everywhere, and there are mountain waterfalls, flying beads and mist, rumbling sounds. There are also dozens of small hydropower stations built along the river, and silver wires flying across the mountains. The boundless dense forest, the towering old trees where wild birds inhabit, the dotted terraced Seven Gardens of Southern Medicine Fields; the red and white wild flowers... it's all dazzling. An electric tower stands on the top of the mountain, 55 meters high, like a mast on a ship. Standing under the electric tower and looking out, the peaks are all at your feet, and you can have a panoramic view of the distant and near scenery. If the wind is gentle and the sun is bright, you can see the Gaozhou Reservoir in the south, with thousands of rippling blue waves, and the shining mountains and rivers; in the north, you can see the rolling mountains, meandering waves, and lush forests. Standing on the top of the peak to watch the sunrise is an even more spectacular scene. At dawn, the surroundings are still dark. The sun bursts out from the clouds in the distance, and the golden light is shining and steaming, making people relaxed and happy, and broad-minded.
