The founder of Chinese gardens is Ji Cheng, whose courtesy name is Wufou and whose name is Fudaoren. He was born in the tenth year of Wanli in the Ming Dynasty (1582), and his death year is unknown. Originally from Songling (now Tongli Town, Wujiang County, Suzhou City, Jiangsu Province).
