The load plate test is to place a square or round bearing plate with certain specifications on the surface of the soil layer to be measured, and apply a load on it layer by layer. The duration of each load increment is the same or close, and the settlement stability value of the load plate under each load is measured and recorded, until the total settlement is 25mm or the maximum capacity of the loading equipment is reached, and then the soil is unloaded and the rebound value of the soil is recorded. The duration should not be shorter than the duration of the first load increase. Draw the P-S curve according to the test records. The strength and deformation characteristics of foundation soil are analyzed and studied, and the allowable bearing capacity and deformation modulus of foundation soil are obtained.
