Is Chengdu, Sichuan very humid?
Chengdu is located in the southwest of China, the west of Sichuan Basin and the hinterland of Chengdu Plain, with flat terrain, vertical and horizontal river networks, rich products and developed agriculture. It belongs to subtropical monsoon humid climate, and has the reputation of "Land of Abundance" since ancient times. It is the headquarters of the western theater organs of the Chinese People's Liberation Army.

In terms of industries, investment in the primary industry increased by 3.4%; Investment in the secondary industry increased by 2.7%, of which industrial investment increased by 2.9%; Investment growth in tertiary industry 12.6%.

Investment in key areas grew rapidly, with the completed investment in Chengdu area and Jin Dong area of Tianfu New District in Sichuan increasing by 15.0% and 8.4% respectively.

Chengdu has a subtropical monsoon climate, with early spring, hot summer, cool autumn and warm winter. The annual average temperature is 16℃, and the annual rainfall is about 1000 mm. A remarkable feature of Chengdu's climate is cloudy and short sunshine time. The folk proverb "Shu dog barks at the sun" is an image description of this climate feature.
Another notable feature of Chengdu's climate is humid air. Therefore, although the temperature is not high in summer (the highest temperature generally does not exceed 35℃), it looks sultry. The average temperature in winter is above 5℃, but it looks very cold because of cloudy days and humid air. The rain in Chengdu is concentrated in July and August, and there is less rain and less ice and snow in winter and spring.
