How old can a person's ideas be in today's society?

This has to mention my mother. In her mind, girls must obey all the orders of their parents, marry when they grow up, educate their children and stay out of the public eye. She always said that a good family is a setting. Since I was four years old, she has given me various training classes and asked me to practice standing and walking when I came home. No matter how much I cry, I can't. Slowly, I got used to it and regarded it as a task, but she was very happy. All the clothes I wear are bought according to her requirements, and I have to wear them whether I like them or not.

Growing up in such an environment, I have no opinion of myself and no idea of doing things. Always like to rely on others, timid, always like to be my follower.
