Daqinggou Travel Notes
Have you been to Daqinggou? If you want to go, you might as well ask me to be your "tour guide".
On August 1, 2011, the youth Go competition in Liaoning Province ended. On August 2nd, accompanied by our parents, a group of five young chess players from Fushun set out from Fuxin to travel to Daqinggou. The tourist bus started at 5:10 in the morning. While we were eating breakfast, we listened to the tour guide’s narration.
Daqinggou, known as "Chonghule" in Mongolian, is a famous and precious broad-leaved forest nature reserve in Inner Mongolia. It is a deep green valley running from north to south. Daqinggou lies across the wilderness in the southern part of the Zhelim League, bordering the Horqin Sandy Land, which is about 250 kilometers long. The deep valley of Daqinggou is composed of East and West Shuanggou, each of which is more than ten kilometers long. The ditch is more than 100 meters deep and about 300 meters wide. The two ditches intersect in a herringbone shape and extend straight into Zhangwu County, Liaoning Province.
The tourist bus kept driving north on the not-so-wide tree-lined road. Passing through Fuxin Mongolian Autonomous County, Kulun Banner, and Gan Qika, it took about three hours and finally arrived at the entrance of Daqing Valley. The first attraction we went to was the grass skiing and archery area. The grass-skiing basin here is different from the grass-skiing basin on the strange slope in Shenyang. It is saddle-shaped, very comfortable to sit on, and can better reflect the customs of the Mongolian people on horseback. The bows and swords in the archery area are very well-made and beautiful in style, which makes people addicted to them. I really couldn't bear to shoot every arrow early.
Standing on the viewing platform on the top of Daqinggou, the sun is shining in the sky, people are sweating profusely, and they drink various drinks from time to time to replenish their body's moisture. Looking down at the bottom of the ditch, thousands of meters of dark green in the square garden jump into your eyes. We can't wait to enter the bottom of the ditch to explore the reality. Slowly descending along the steep stone steps to the bottom of the ditch, people felt that it was completely cool and the feeling of a ditch was no longer there. What lies before us is a flat and open plain at the bottom of the ditch. The sightseeing road is paved with thick red pine boards. Walking on it will not damage the vegetation under your feet and is very comfortable. There are towering ancient trees of different shapes on both sides of the sightseeing road. Precious manchurian ash, yellow pineapple, purple linden, white-barked willow and yellow elm are everywhere. The tour guide aunt said that there are also various rare Chinese herbal medicines that we don’t know, such as Golden Flower Yin Dong, Schisandra chinensis, Northeastern Aracenia, Taoyewei, etc. distributed in the forest. Among the wild animals, gazelles, foxes, chipmunks, otters, etc. can be found along the ditches and streams. It is an ideal habitat for birds and animals. Although it is on the edge of the desert, the natural greenery is thick and there are many beautiful scenery...
Look carefully, you will see that the grass and flowers are beautiful in the wetlands, and the springs are flowing together to form small streams. A drifting zone of more than 5,000 meters long is formed below the Sanchakou. People who come to rafting, regardless of whether they know each other or not, regardless of gender, old or young, play and have fun together. Those who didn’t want to fight couldn’t hide away even if they wanted to, so they had no choice but to bite the bullet and get involved.
Coming up from the bottom of the ditch, about in the middle of the ditch slope, there are five Mongolian oak trees, with intertwined roots growing together. The locals call them the Five Brothers Trees. It means the five ethnic groups of Mongolian, Han, Manchu, Hui and Korean who have grown up here for generations. The five young chess players who participated in the competition gathered around the Five Brothers tree and took a group photo.
Take a sightseeing battery car to the Xiaoqing Lake tourist area. Along the way, we passed through grasslands and yurts. The air was so fresh and full of the aroma of green grass that people couldn't help but take a few more breaths. People enjoyed the generous benefits of the natural oxygen bar. As the wind blows and the grass waves blow, someone can't help but sing "Beautiful Grassland, My Home". Use this beautiful song to praise the grassland and the compatriots of the five ethnic groups who grow and protect it!
