The scenery of Siwang Mountain
Siwang Mountain is located opposite Qingxi Town, Xuanhan County. It is a piece of red land. The main peak is 1,100 meters above sea level and is the highest peak in Qingxi Town. Starting from the county seat, you can reach it by speedboat in 20 minutes. When you climb to the top of the peak, you can see the entire Qingxi River, hence the name Siwang Mountain. Siwang Mountain is surrounded by undulating mountains and criss-crossing ravines. Its strategic location is very important and has always been a battleground for military strategists. Siwang Mountain is a red land with a glorious revolutionary tradition. It is the hometown of Wang Weizhou, the founder of the 33rd Red Army. Siwang Mountain towers into the clouds, has a mild climate, abundant rainfall, and unique resource and ecological advantages. Standing on the main peak of Siwang Mountain and looking eastward, you can have a panoramic view of Qingxi Jiangkou Lake. The vast expanse of blue waves is dotted with islands. There is Siwangshan Temple on the mountain, also known as Tiantai Temple. There are five floors of temples including Lingguan Temple, Xuanzu Hall, * Hall, Guanyin Hall, and Songzi Hall, covering an area of about 1,000 square meters. It was built with donations from local villagers during the Xianfeng period of the Qing Dynasty. It was restored during the Tongzhi period and again at the end of 1992. There is a pavilion built in front of the temple, and a big bell hangs inside. When it rings, it can be heard for dozens of miles around. There are many poems describing this scenery in the temple, such as "Leaning on the railing and looking at the small mountains, the clouds under my feet are suspected to be immortals". What is even more amazing is the Ten Thousand Step Ladder, known as the most unique thing in eastern Sichuan. It goes down from Jiangkou Lake to the top of the mountain. It is entirely made of strips of stone. It has a total length of 2,100 meters, more than 10,000 steps, and a vertical height of 830 meters. . Climbing the steps from the lake to the top of the mountain, the scenery along the way is endless, making people feel like they have ascended to immortality.
