What is the Buddha refers to the relic?
Relic, which means "bone" in Sanskrit, refers to the remains of the deceased after cremation. Usually refers to the solid objects left by Buddha Sakyamuni after cremation, such as Buddha's hair, Buddha's teeth and Buddha's finger relics. Buddhist scriptures divide the relics into two categories: one is the instrument relic, which is the Buddhist scripture mentioned by the Buddha, and the other is the living Buddha relic, which is the solid thing left by the Buddha after cremation. The latter can be divided into three categories, one is bone relics, white; The second is the meat relic, red; The third is the hair relic, black, bright and unbreakable, which is incomparable to the world jewelry. Bodhisattvas and arhats also have Buddhist relics. Buddhism believes that only those who are devout and enlightened will naturally crystallize Buddhist relics, which is very popular.
The so-called relics have the following characteristics:
(1) a monk;
② All of them were found in cremated ashes.
③ Different colors and sizes;
④ Various shapes, mainly round;
⑤ The number ranges from dozens to dozens or even more;
6. Hard texture, can shine.
From the perspective of modern medicine, the author thinks that when these monks were alive, there could not be so many hard relics like soybeans and mung beans in any part of their bodies. If there is, I don't think there is any benefit, but it will definitely lead to illness, and surgery is necessary. Like gallstones or kidney calculi, as long as there is one. Will make the patient feel pain. If there are dozens, it is unimaginable, let alone dozens or hundreds. But these monks didn't suffer when they were alive, so they went to the hospital for X-ray or cT scanning, otherwise they could completely diagnose whether there were relics in their bodies at this time. From the perspective of modern medicine, it is impossible for monks to have so many Buddhist relics in their bodies when they are alive. Why can they find such a relic from the cremated ashes? The author believes that they have reached the high realm of "the unity of man and nature" through long-term cultivation when they are alive, and they can naturally absorb high-energy substances in the universe and enhance their physique. These high-energy substances penetrate into various tissues of the body, especially bones. The longer they practice, the more enlightened they become, and the more high-energy substances in the universe are contained in their bodies. They were cremated after death, melted at high temperature, and condensed with ashes in the cooling process, becoming circular relics of different sizes and quantities. If possible, just take a relic and test it, and you will know which elements are made up and what substances make the relic shine. On the other hand, if these monks are buried without cremation after their death, the author suspects that it is impossible to find relics in their coffins after they only have bones, teeth and hair.
It is said that many monks died and were cremated before they got the relics. As for the Buddhist relics in the mouth of a good man who believes in chanting sutras, I don't understand and don't want to talk about the wonderful phenomena, such as the disciple wiping his back in the monk's bath, the Zen master shaving his hair and turning it into a string of Buddhist relics, burning lamps for the Buddha and offering Buddhist relics on snuff.

What is the Buddha refers to the relic?
The so-called relic is the crystallization of personal practice. Originally, the relic was called the relic, and later it was called the relic. Relic was originally translated into various names in Hindi, such as (establishment) ... and it means "relic" or "spiritual bone". These relics were not completely obtained by cremation.
The formation of Buddhist relics has nothing to do with doing good, but mainly related to living habits, but it is very important that you will live longer by doing good. If you use a certain food for a long time, some of its elements will be deposited in your body. When you are cremated, they will form various crystals when heated.
In India, the relic is called Tuodu, also known as Shegongluo, which is translated into spirit bone, body bone and body in Chinese. It's a crystal left by a person after cremation. But the relics are completely different from the bones of ordinary dead people. Its shapes are ever-changing, including round, oval, lotus, Buddha or bodhisattva; Its colors are white, black, green and red, and there are also various colors; Some relics are like pearls, while others are like agates and crystals. Some are transparent, others are bright, just like diamonds.
White relics are bones, black relics are hair, red relics are muscles, and there are also green or five-color relics.
According to the scripture, the relic is obtained by a person through practicing discipline, determination and wisdom, plus his own great will. It is very rare and precious. For example, after the Buddha's nirvana, as many as one stone and six buckets of relics were burned. At that time, eight kings competed for the Buddha relic, and each got a share. They brought the relics of the Buddha back to their own country and built pagodas for people to watch and worship. In addition, accomplished monks and believers at home can also get Buddhist relics after death. For example, Huineng, the sixth ancestor of China, and modern masters Hong Yi, Yin Guang, Taixu and Zhang Jia all left a considerable number of relics.
The types of relics are generally divided into whole body relics and broken body relics. The whole body relic does not need to be cremated, but it will not rot. This is called the whole body relic, also known as the body bodhisattva; Broken relics are cremated remains. However, there are also some Buddhist relics that do not change from the human body, such as running out of the sky or underground, or being born from oil lamps or flowers, and there is also a kind of Buddhist relics that are sincerely worshipped and reborn from Buddhist relics. In the merit of bathing Buddha, the relic is divided into: 1. Living Buddha relics, also known as body and bone relics, are the remains of the Buddha; The second is the relic of the instrument, also known as the relic of the instrument, which refers to the teaching methods and commandments left by the Buddha.
The phenomena of this relic show that it can't be a stone. The main component of stones is calcium or metal salt deposition, which is similar in shape to scales and fragile. These things will become powdery oxides at high temperatures. There are tens of millions of people suffering from lithiasis, but only practitioners have Buddhist relics. Dade's tongue, heart and other soft tissues without bones can also be cremated to form relics. Even the tongue of a parrot can become a relic. What's more, the number of stones in the body is very small, otherwise it will endanger life, but sometimes the number of relics is extremely amazing, with different colors and shapes.
Some relics are extremely hard. When you hit them with a hammer, the anvil sinks without any damage. It is not only for monks who are vegetarian all the year round, but also for laymen who died after a year of conversion. After burning, relics also appeared on the ruins.
Of course, some so-called "relics" are really bones and teeth that have not been completely burned, but it is impossible for stones to become "relics" after being burned. Some people interpret the remains as stones in the name of science. In fact, this kind of deception to the public, these so-called sciences are actually "pseudoscience."
Some relics are extremely hard. When you hit them with a hammer, the anvil sinks without any damage. Some relics will grow up, give birth to small relics, and so on. Can these be guessed by modern science? In February and March, 2002, the Buddhist finger relic enshrined in Famen Temple in Fufeng County, Shaanxi Province toured Taiwan Province Province, causing a great sensation. In order to ensure that the Buddha's finger relic is foolproof during transportation and sightseeing, the relevant parties on both sides of the strait have formulated and adopted extremely careful safety measures-while installing a bulletproof, fireproof and shockproof glass cover weighing 270 kilograms for Tancheng (the gold-plated copper tower where the Buddha's finger relic is placed weighs 63 kilograms and is 134 cm high), more than 400 people from the Buddhist circles on both sides of the strait will arrive in Taiwan Province from the airport. Infrared sensors and cameras are installed in the pagoda pavilion where the Buddha's finger is located, which can monitor the situation at any time; At the same time, the Dharma Group, composed of 24 monks from the mainland and Taiwan Province Province 120 King Kong, cooperated with other relevant personnel to form four barriers, 24......& gt& gt.
What is Buddha's finger relic? Is it only for the virtuous and Taoist monks?
Relic is a transliteration of Sanskrit relic. It is generally called "relic" in translation and "body bone" in literal translation. According to legend, Sakyamuni was cremated after his death, leaving behind "Buddha's bone relics" and "Buddha's tooth relics", which were enfeoffed by the kings of the eight countries and built towers for worship. 1April, 987, in the underground palace of the Tang Dynasty unearthed from Famen Temple in Fufeng County, Shaanxi Province, the only remaining Buddhist bone relic in the world, the finger bone relic of Sakyamuni Buddha, was discovered, which caused a sensation at home and abroad and added mystery to the relic. Most of the relics left by the later monk Dade after cremation are not bones or teeth, but some crystal clear beads. Generally, the red ones are called meat relics, the white ones are called bone relics and the black ones are called Mao relics. The number of these beads varies from more than 10,000 to as little as one or two (for example, the former executive director of the Chinese Buddhist Association, the vice president of the Shanxi Buddhist Association, and the master of Xiantong in Wutai Mountain, after the cremation in March1991.1.000); They vary in size, ranging from 4cm in diameter to as small as sand (for example, Master Guangyin of Taiwan Province Province, 95 years old, 1975, 13 died in February and was cremated, leaving more than 1000 relics, with the largest diameter of 4cm, and Master Kuanneng, abbot of Xishi Temple in Xishan, Guiping County, Guangxi, 93 years old,/0. There are various colors, such as red, green, white, black, yellow, brown and purple. There are also different textures, some transparent as crystal, some crystal clear as diamond, some moist as jasper, and some brighter than pearls. When Buddhists saw the relics, including the stupas dedicated to them, they all knelt down and worshipped them, which was extremely pious, and some people denounced it as superstition. It is said that some scholars believe that monks are vegetarians, ingesting a large amount of inorganic salts and depositing them in their internal organs, thus forming stones. The relic is nothing more than the high-temperature sintering of human stones during cremation. Then I want to ask: there are so many people in stone. Why can only monks' stones become relics after cremation, but ordinary people can't? Besides the vegetarianism of monks, there are also many vegetarians among non-Buddhists. Why can't they burn relics? Moreover, of all the religions in the world, why do only Buddhist practitioners leave relics? Many monks had no stones in their physical examinations before their death. Why do they leave relics after cremation? If you leave thousands of relics, there should be thousands of stones in your body. Why does such a heavy burden on the body not only make monks sick, but also lead to longevity? Not only monks leave Buddhist relics, but also a few laymen and great people leave Buddhist relics (mentioned earlier, Professor Huang Nianzu, a radio engineering expert, left hundreds of five-color Buddhist relics), and not all monks leave Buddhist relics, only monks who practice at home and achieve great achievements leave Buddhist relics. From this perspective, the relic can be regarded as not only a mysterious religious phenomenon, but also a cultural phenomenon. The emergence of relic worship marks the height of human spiritual civilization. The virtue of eminent monks is a model of human lofty spirit and human conscience. People's worship in front of the Buddhist relics is reverence for this model, and the recognition of this model is the externalization of people's consciousness and behavior under the inspiration of the Buddha. So far, we haven't seen a monk or Buddhist relic with low practice and bad morality burned in the soil, and outsiders have no chance to take Buddhist relics. But it can't be said that only the monks or laymen who left the relics are in power or noble. Many eminent monks and great virtues who have preached Dharma all their lives have left no relics, which does not damage their glorious image and is still remembered and admired by people. They didn't leave the relic, because their lives have been completed, carefree, no regrets, and passed away peacefully. The reason why I left the relic is that I feel that the task of this life has not been finally completed. They left some things as souvenirs to continue to inspire all beings and follow the path of Buddhism and Taoism, which will lead to positive results and early liberation. Although stupas are valued by Buddhists, it is not a big deal for real practitioners, and its essence is to get rid of life and death. The relic is only the realization of the body after practicing to a certain extent, but it is not the end, and it has not yet escaped from the category of impermanence. More than 2,500 years later, Sakyamuni's bone relics and tooth relics still show their brilliance to the world, which shows that human beings' pursuit of liberation from suffering has not stopped. In all kinds of choices, many people are close to the Buddha and believe in his teachings. The great sage relic of later generations, like bodhi seeds, continues to spread all over the world, taking root in people's hearts and nourishing the shade for more people to get rid of.
What does "Buddha relic" mean?
Relic refers to the remains and beaded gem-like products left by the cremation of Buddha Sakyamuni, the founder of Buddhism. 2,500 years ago, when Sakyamuni was in nirvana, disciples got a skull, two bones, four teeth, a middle finger relic and 84,000 beaded relics from the ashes. These relics of the Buddha are regarded as sacred objects by believers, competing to offer them.
The Indian name of the relic is Tuodu, also known as Sherilo, which is translated into Chinese as spirit bone, body bone and body. For example, Huineng, the sixth ancestor of China, and modern masters Hong Yi, Yin Guang, Taixu and Zhang Jia all left a considerable number of relics.
The golden blood relic of Sakyamuni Buddha is recorded in relevant Buddhist documents. After the death and cremation of Buddha Sakyamuni, believers found many round hard objects in his ashes, which were bright, transparent, colorful and hard as steel. This is the relic, commonly known as the relic, which has always been regarded as a Buddhist treasure.
According to observation, relic is a kind of bone crystal, and its composition and structure are unknown. It is said that Taoist can only appear after being cremated after her death. Traces are very rare. However, in recent years, the relic phenomenon has appeared frequently and become an anecdote in contemporary Buddhism.
1990 65438+ February. Master Hong Chuan, a monk from China, died. After cremation, 480 colored hard objects similar to crystals were found in his ashes, some of which sparkled like diamonds. This is recognized. This is no different from the treasures of Buddhism.
About the types of cultural relics
Buddha blood Todoroki blood relic (1) whole body relic and broken body relic, the former refers to the whole body remains buried, and the latter refers to the remains cremated. This is from the third volume of the Bodhisattva Pregnancy Sutra. Or those who put all the remains in one tower are called whole corpse relics; On the other hand, those who divide the remains in multiple places are called broken relics (called two-person relics).
(2) There are two kinds of cultural relics, namely, bone relics and Fa Song relics. The Merit Sutra of Washing Buddha regards the Buddha's remains as Buddhist relics, and the teachings left by the Buddha are called Buddhist relics. This kind of relic shows that after the Buddha's extinction, the teachings and precepts mentioned by the Buddha will last forever and can be relied on by all living beings, so it is called Fasong relic, or Fasong relic for short.
(3) Bone remains, hair remains and meat remains. Volume 40 of Fallin says that the bone relic is white, the hair relic is black and the meat relic is red.
The so-called relics of later generations are the particles, solids and slight luster of adzuki beans, which are mostly placed in small towers and supported.

What is a relic?
Random talk about "relics"
"Ruins" are quite mysterious to ordinary people. Usually, after human remains are incinerated, only a pile of ashes remains; However, the Buddhist monk Dade can leave all kinds of Buddhist relics. Buddhist relics are often regarded as a symbol of monks and nuns' spiritual achievements. The Buddhist relics left by the monk Dade after his relocation can often enhance the belief of believers.
What exactly is a relic? It should be said that this can be measured by extraordinary feelings. Some people have conducted so-called scientific research, saying that the relic is a "stone" in the human body, because monks are vegetarian all the year round and eat too many bean products, which is caused by calcium precipitation and accumulation. There are also some heretics who think that the relics are "Dan" made of essence, qi and spirit, and they make a big fuss about refining qi and spirit. These statements are ridiculous. They don't know that the Buddhist "relic" has all kinds of incredible things, and the relic is not just a product in the body.
"Saria" is a transliteration of Sanskrit, which means "body bone", also known as "spiritual bone" or "strong son", but this is only as far as most relics come from human body. Because most of the relics were obtained from the incineration of human remains. The earliest is that after the teacher Sakyamuni showed silence, he burned himself into a relic with eight hooves and four fights. So the relic is also called "body bone". But there are also relics that are not bones. For example, in the Song Dynasty, when a layman like Lu carved a pure land of dragon trees and a wishing piece, the sarira burst out in the edition, * * * three times. In ancient times, there were also incredible deeds such as good women embroidering sutras, blocking needles, seeking relics, chanting Buddha or getting relics from their mouths when learning scriptures. There are also monks who wipe their backs while taking a bath, and there are Buddhist relics. When Master Xue Yanqin shaved his head, his hair turned into a string of relics. What's even more incredible is that when Jackson Song Xian died, there was a strong wind that blew the smoke forty miles away. Wherever the smoke goes, there are traces on houses, trees and grasslands, and as many as four stones have been collected. Can modern science or pagans guess this?
Modern people also have such intangible cultural relics. If you burn Yi Deng for the Buddha, you will feel sincere, and you will get a relic in snuff. This is the so-called "good news with snuff" phenomenon in Buddhism. Yang Peizhi (Qian Hui), a Buddhist disciple of Master Yin Guang, once got a relic on snuff. 1947, Lingyanshan Temple in Suzhou published "The Great Trend to Buddha chanting Tong Yuan"? Printing an open book? Gong Jing's lecture notes coincided with the general trend of Bodhisattva's birthday. When the lamp dropped the relic, a large relic was found in the lamp board, as pure as crystal beads. This phenomenon of losing cultural relics by lights usually happens. From April to July, * * * got four big five Xiao Jiu relics in the lamp tray (see the book "Karma Induction of Publishing Books"). Master Yin Guang said that this is because "the sincerity is great, and the Buddha's kindness is shown" ("The third edition of Master Yin Guang's banknotes? After yang peiwen's "the book of laymen"), it can be seen that this is not measurable under any circumstances.
Usually, the relic mainly refers to the crystal burned by monks after rape. This crystal is as strong as King Kong.
Shiny, different shapes, there are relic beads, relic flowers, relic blocks, tooth relics and so on; Colors are also different, often called "five-color relics". For example, Master Jingru of Wutai Mountain, a director of the Chinese Buddhist Association who died recently, found more than 5,000 relics of various colors, mainly black, white, red, silver and blue. According to the teachings of American Xuanhua people, the white one is the bone relic; Black is a relic; The red one is the remains of meat. There are two kinds of relics: one is the whole body relic, such as the Duobao Buddha relic. The second is the broken relics, such as those of Sakyamuni Buddha. There are also two kinds of living relics and fa relics. The living Buddha will be cultivated by Jay. Relic relics are all scriptures. "("Master Xuanhua talks about three volumes of Hokkekyo ",p. 334). What we generally call relics only refers to the living relics.
What a relic is, although it can be measured by extraordinary feelings, its function is obvious. Biological relics, like utensils (classics), have the value of spreading Buddhism. After the nirvana of Sakyamuni Buddha, his biological relic was divided into eight parts by Mahabharata, Sakyamuni and other eight countries, and a tower was built to support him. In the third century, Ashoka took it out and distributed it all over India, building 84,000 pagodas, and Buddhism flourished. A few years ago, the discovery of Sakyamuni Buddha relic (finger bone relic) in Fufeng Famen Temple, Shaanxi Province, China was a great event in the Buddhist community, which was of great significance for promoting Buddhism. Why did the Buddha leave the relic after he showed silence? This is a very meaningful question. In Hokkaido. In the Tathagata's Quality of Life, the Buddha himself said:

What are the eight boxes for storing Buddha's finger relics?
2 1, 65438, in April, 0987, a rusty iron letter was found in the secret niche of the north wall of the back room of the underground palace. When it was opened, there was a silver letter on the top of 45 statues. There are two huge crystal balls, two carved white jade rings, two carved gold rings, a string of pearls and some embroidered silk. The silver letters on the top of the 45 statues are cubes with the length, width and height of 17 cm, and the cover and text of the letters are beautifully carved. The bottom of the letter is engraved with the words "as a treasure letter for the emperor to create the real body of Sakyamuni". 45 statues are decorated with sandalwood letters with silver letters at the top and silver horns. The top and body of the letters are covered with silver horns, and various flowers are carved by flat carving and painting. Tie a silver lock and a key. Inside the sandalwood letter in the corner of the silver bag is a crystal pendant set with precious stones. The cover is inlaid with yellow and sapphire, which is huge and dazzling.
The cover is carved with Guanyin Bodhisattva and vase flowers, and the cover is carved with Manjusri Bodhisattva, Lotus Table and flowers and birds on all sides. Inside the crystal coffin is the jade coffin of the portal. This is another Buddha finger relic. According to the excavation sequence, experts named it "Super 3".
What is a relic?
In Hindi, the relic is called Todo, also called Sherilo, which is translated into spiritual bone, body bone and body in Chinese. It is what we call a "flesh bodhisattva" whose flesh does not rot. 2, broken relics: it is what everyone usually calls relics. The Buddhist relics after the cremation of Sakyamuni Buddha, the living Buddha of Lausanne Temple, and Master Zhu Zhai are all broken Buddhist relics. Among them, there are many kinds. 3. Relic: The Sutra of Seating, the Sutra of Vulgarity, the Sutra of Tibetan Buddhism and the Sutra of Han Buddhism all belong to the Relic of Relic. It is the wisdom that Dade left to future generations. But there are also four kinds of views. The fourth kind is called a picture of a relic out of nothing (such as a relic from heaven, a relic of sacrifice):
