It is a key node connecting the Pearl River Delta and Haixi District and an important gateway for coastal cities in Guangdong Province to communicate with the inland hinterland. There are three expressways, two national highways, two railways and Meixian Airport in the territory, and it is a national transportation hub city. With the completion of Jieyang Chaoshan International Airport, the capacity expansion and reconstruction project of Guangmeishan Railway and the planning and construction of five expressways, the traffic arteries of Pearl River Delta, Haixi District and Yangtze River Delta will be fully opened, Meizhou will enter a new era of high-speed rail, and its location advantage will be more prominent.

Meizhou is a good place to enjoy a slow life. Hard-working and intelligent Hakka people, kind and pleasant Hakka dialect, beautiful and pleasant Hakka folk songs, green and healthy Hakka food, and inclusive and open Hakka dragon enclosure make people linger. There are famous national scenic spots such as Yannanfei, 4A scenic spots such as Yanming Lake, Thousand Pagodas Temple, Lingguang Temple, Ketianxia and Changtan, and many leisure resorts such as Fengshun Qianjiang Hot Spring and Wuhua Hot Mine Mud Villa. While introducing the situation in Meizhou, Director Chen also highlighted the Thousand-Buddha Pagoda Temple in Meizhou City, Guangdong Province, the venue of the Six Ancestor Zen Cultural Festival series. The Thousand-Buddha Pagoda is located in the eastern suburb of Meizhou City, which is a Dojo for women developed to protect the Thousand-Buddha Tower, a cultural relic of the Southern Han Dynasty, and is a key cultural relic protection unit in Guangdong Province. The Thousand-Buddha Tower was cast in the eighth year of Dabao in the Southern Han Dynasty (AD 965), and it was located in Xiuhui Temple in this city. In the Qing Dynasty, the state officials moved it to Qizhou Temple (these two ancient temples had long since disappeared). The Thousand-Buddha Tower has seven floors, with a height of 4.2 meters and a bottom width of 1.6 meters. It is square, and its body is cast with thousands of buddhas, hence the name Thousand-Buddha Tower. Due to the long time, the Thousand-Buddha Tower has been damaged day by day. In the late Qing Dynasty, Huang Zunxian, a patriotic poet in this city, collected the fragments of the tower and composed the songs of the Thousand-Buddha Tower in order to discipline its events. Beginning in 1935, Peng Jingyi, the county magistrate of Meixian County, and Mr. Huang Renhuan moved the tower to Dongshanling and built an octagonal pavilion for protection. Due to the changes of the times, the iron tower is enclosed in the steel plant, which is polluted and damaged day by day, making it inconvenient for tourists to look at it, and public opinion has called for its protection.

In the winter of p>1989, Master Minghui (currently the executive director of the National Buddhist Association, the vice president of the Guangdong Buddhist Association, the president of the Meizhou Buddhist Association, the abbot of the Thousand-Buddha Pagoda Temple, the Standing Committee of the 4th and 5th People's Congress of Meizhou City, and the 9th and 1th CPPCC Guangdong Provincial Committee) returned to his hometown from yunmen temple, Shaoguan, at the invitation of the Meizhou Buddhist Association, and initiated the establishment of the Putong Pagoda to help promote Buddhism and expand the Dojo. In the spring of 199, Master Minghui initiated and built a nine-story granite tower to protect cultural relics. This charity was responded by the local government and social leaders, and was immediately approved by the provincial cultural relics department to "agree to relocate and raise funds by itself". In July of the same year, the preparatory committee for the Thousand-Buddha Pagoda was set up by relevant leaders at the city, county and district levels, a great Buddhist monk, Master Yuan Che, and a dharma protector at home and abroad. Master Minghui was in charge, actively raising funds, and his footprints were all over the world, with enthusiastic support from overseas Chinese, Hong Kong and Macao rural sages, and Buddhist laymen came to work voluntarily. Finally, on December 3, 1991, the foundation stone of the Thousand-Buddha Pagoda was formally laid. The whole pagoda building is a treasure of Chinese traditional culture and art, and it is also a symbol of Meizhou's historical and cultural city. The tower lights are shining high, and the title is "Lingnan Pearl". There is an endless stream of people coming to the pilgrimage. The Thousand-Buddha Pagoda Temple, centered on stone pagodas and built by mountains, has been perfected for more than ten years. Among them, the Thousand-Buddha Hall is a rare traditional ancient building. There are six carved stone pillars of Qinglong granite in the main entrance. In the center of the hall is a thousand-Buddha around Pilu, with 18 golden-carved arhats with a height of more than 1 meter on both sides. On the wall, there are 24 gods, manjusri and Pu Xian's giant Dunhuang murals, which are famous and lifelike.

In p>22, the building of Buddha Education and Training Center was completed one after another, with a building area of more than 3, square meters and five floors, of which the third floor is an auditorium that can accommodate more than 1, people, and the fifth floor is the Buddhist Scripture Building. The rest floors are equipped with classrooms, libraries, archives, reference rooms, reading rooms, computer rooms, meditation halls, and mage lounges.

In addition, there are three temples, a pharmacist's hall, a bell tower, a drum tower, a dharma hall, a monk's house, a guest hall, a tea house, a vegetarian restaurant and a large-scale temple complex. Tilted cornices, carved beams and painted buildings, resplendent and magnificent, filled with fragrant clouds. There are many scenic spots in the temple, such as Elysium, Moon Corridor, Water Spitting in Kowloon, Shadow Carving Corridor for the Fifty-three Talented Boys, Poetry Gallery, Wangjiang Guanyin, Drip Guanyin, Manjusri Pavilion, Puxian Pavilion, Jianying Pavilion, Bihua Pavilion, and Dairi Pavilion. Especially in the "Elysium" behind the tower, there are Tianchi, Tianqiao, spouting and splashing, whispering and fragrant flowers, and the stone statues of Amitabha and Guanyin Bodhisattva stand upright in the Tianchi for visitors to see and purify their bodies and minds. Pavilions and pavilions, colorful, lush flowers and trees in the four seasons, lush green grass, the sound of Buddha's name, melodious Brahma music, morning bells and drums, thought-provoking, worthy of pure land on earth.

The Buddhist Education and Training Center was established in 23 to train high-quality monks. At present, it has basic software and hardware facilities, and has obtained the consent of Guangdong Yunmen Buddhist College to set up the Women's Department of the Buddhist College, and at the same time, it has developed charitable education to purify people's hearts and repay the society.

Standing on the Thousand-Buddha Pagoda, listening to the chimes of Sanskrit and overlooking Meizhou, the spirit of awe rises from the heart. Meizhou, the capital of hospitality! Meizhou, the leisure capital!
